Ghost Machine Productions lanza ROOK EXODUS un nuevo universo de personajes que fue introducido en GHOST MACHINE #1 ONE-SHOT (2024), del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Jason Fabok, que forma parte del universo de ciencia ficción llamada ROOK EXODUS.

¿De qué viene?

En este penúltimo capítulo del segundo arco argumental de la exitosa serie, Rook y los Guardianes supervivientes del Éxodo deben enfrentarse al Guardián renegado Arácnido y su abrumadora horda de arañas. Para colmo, estas criaturas se han apoderado de la mente y el cuerpo de Arácnido. Y aunque lo rescaten, ¡los demás Guardianes primero tendrán que salvarse a sí mismos!

Trama

Bloodhound no recuerda nada luego de que fue controlado por Arachnid, recuerda visitar el World Engine para arreglarlo y luego olvida todo, Stag intenta calmar su ira, porque sabe que Bloodhound no recuerda lo que hizo. Ahora todos van al núcleo a intentar arreglar el World Engine.

De repente son atacados por Arachnid que tiene una especie de cuerpo exoesqueleto robótico, Rook, Stag, Dire Wolf, Matterhorn y Bloodhound están acorralados aparte de que los cuervos de Rook han sido heridos y eso afecta su concentración.

Pero de la nada llega este misterioso muchacho usando el casco de Swine y trae los animales que se habían quedado atrapados en la superficie, cuervos, lobos y cerdos.

Rook le quita el casco a Arachnid, esta persona está en estado catatónico y de repente las arañas atrapan a Stag, le quitan su casco y le ponen el de Arachnid, al parecer las arañas se controlan a sí mismas? 

Este penúltimo capítulo de este arco revelará lo que ocurre con las arañas y si se puede salvar el World Engie.

Arte

Jason Fabok ofrece su arte tan detallado donde todo tiene lógica, recreando mundos nuevos con tecnología futurista y haciéndolo creíble, cada página hipnotiza y da escalofríos, juega con las escalas de todo este mundo con una visión cinematográfica. Logra ilustrar unas páginas splash alucinantes e hipnotizantes, que apoyadas por los colores perfectamente adecuados de Brad Anderson.

What does it come from?

Plot

Bloodhound remembers nothing after being controlled by Arachnid. He recalls visiting the World Engine to fix it, and then forgets everything. Stag tries to calm his anger, because he knows Bloodhound doesn't remember what he did. Now they all go to the core to try to fix the World Engine.

Suddenly, they are attacked by Arachnid, who has a kind of robotic exoskeleton. Rook, Stag, Dire Wolf, Matterhorn, and Bloodhound are cornered, and Rook's crows have been injured, affecting his concentration.

But out of nowhere, a mysterious boy arrives wearing Swine's helmet and brings the animals that had been trapped on the surface: crows, wolves, and pigs.

Rook takes the helmet from Arachnid. This person is in a catatonic state, and suddenly the spiders capture Stag, take his helmet, and put Arachnid's on him. It seems the spiders are controlling themselves?

This penultimate chapter of this arc will reveal what happens to the spiders and whether the World Engine can be saved.

Art

Jason Fabok delivers his incredibly detailed art, where everything makes sense. He recreates new worlds with futuristic technology, making it all believable. Each page is mesmerizing and sends chills down your spine. He plays with the scale of this entire world with a cinematic vision. He manages to illustrate stunning and mesmerizing splash pages, supported by Brad Anderson's perfectly chosen colors.

Summary

Arachnid is not what it seems when its new attack changes everything.

Trama

Sue, Reed, Johnny y Ben tratan de descifrar la nueva versión de Future Foundation que van a crear con S.H.I.E.L.D. y Maria Hill, luego de ver que la mujer Invencible está atrapada con un dispositivo que usa su misma energía para mantenerla en estado de animación suspendida.

Los Cuatro Fantásticos no logran ponerse de acuerdo y en una batalla contra el olvidable villano Monocle Man, que usa una arma de Doctor Doom llamada Emotion Charger, hace que los cuatro no trabajen en equipo y no están sincronizados. Las armas de Doom están siendo vendidas en el mercado negro, algo que los Cuatro Fantásticos tienen que resolver.

Ben se le ocurre que Future Foundation debe ser una organización que invite a todos a formar parte de ella, que no sea un grupo reducido de personas conocidas, abrirán las puertas para que todos aporten y también se nutren del conocimiento.

Esta entrega es de transición entre el arco anterior y el nuevo arco, por lo que ofrece cambio narrativo hacia un ritmo más lento.

Incluye una historia escrita e ilustrada por el legendario Stan Sakai llamada "THE DIGGER IN THE DARK, donde se enfrentan a Mole Man y un nuevo monstruo, con la narrativa directa que recuerda la época clásica de Lee y Kirby, con el arte ingenuo tan hermoso de Sakai.

Plot

Sue, Reed, Johnny, and Ben try to decipher the new version of the Future Foundation that S.H.I.E.L.D. and Maria Hill are creating, after discovering that the Invincible woman is trapped with a device that uses her own energy to keep her in suspended animation.

The Fantastic Four can't seem to get their act together, and in a battle against the forgettable villain Monocle Man, who uses a Doctor Doom weapon called the Emotion Charger, the four are out of sync and their teamwork is disrupted. Doom's weapons are being sold on the black market, something the Fantastic Four have to address.

Ben comes up with the idea that the Future Foundation should be an organization that invites everyone to join, not just a small group of well-known people. They'll open their doors so everyone can contribute and benefit from the collective knowledge.

This issue serves as a transition between the previous and new story arcs, resulting in a slower narrative pace.

It includes a story written and illustrated by the legendary Stan Sakai called "THE DIGGER IN THE DARK," where they face Mole Man and a new monster, with straightforward storytelling reminiscent of the classic Lee and Kirby era, and Sakai's beautifully naive art.

Art

This comic features guest artist Pat Boutin, whose looser, more relaxed style offers a more lighthearted take on the Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four seek to create a new and improved version of the Future Foundation.

¿De qué viene?

¡El arma definitiva de Doom se revela en el camino al Armagedón! Steve deja de lado su misión de proteger el arma definitiva de Victor Von Doom tanto de Estados Unidos como de Latveria, lo que lo pone en una peligrosa trayectoria de colisión con el NUEVO equipo de ataque de Hulk Rojo. Pero hay guerras que ni siquiera el Capitán América puede ganar… ¡Sé testigo de la chispa que enciende el fuego del Armagedón en este número imperdible!

Trama

Capitán América ayuda a Nick Fury a desarmar a la mujer que estaba criando en secreto al clon de Victor Von Doom, que apenas tiene 10-12 años, Cap piensa que es el arma secreta de Doctor Doom, pero el arma real la lleva consigo, una misteriosa mochila.

El objetivo es que el clon de Doctor Doom tuviese una vida normal como un ciudadano modelo para luego tomar el poder del gobierno cuando fuese adulto.

Pero para sorpresa de todos, el General Ross le dio el suero de Hulk a un grupo de soldados y transformado en Red Hulk realiza un ataque a Doomstadt proclamando que ahora Latveria está en control del gobierno de EE.UU, este ataque es realizado por Ross sin aprobación del gobierno, aparentemente.

Red Hulk está a punto de asesinar al clon de Victor Doom, cuando Sam Wilson, el otro Capitan America se lo lleva, sin embargo la mochila está en posesión de Red Hulk.

Entre toda esta conmoción por el ataque de Red Hulk, Capitán América arriesga su vida para salvar un niño de morir aplastado por los escombros de un castillo. Cap despierta en lo que parece el infierno, donde Doctor Doom lo estaba esperando.

Este cómic se adentra en conflictos ideológicos políticos complejos de una manera brillante, desde el punto de vista de Capitán América.

Arte

Lleno de detalles que son elevados a otro nivel de calidad con diferentes texturas, donde ofrece diseños tan avasallantes como alucinantes de Capitán América y su nuevo universo de personajes.

Plot

Captain America helps Nick Fury disarm the woman who was secretly raising a 10-12 year old clone of Victor Von Doom. Cap thinks it's Doctor Doom's secret weapon, but the real weapon is with him: a mysterious backpack.

The plan is for the clone to live a normal life as a model citizen and then seize power when he grows up.

But to everyone's surprise, General Ross gives the Hulk serum to a group of soldiers, and transformed into Red Hulk, he attacks Doomstadt, proclaiming that Latveria is now under the control of the U.S. government. This attack is carried out by Ross without government approval, apparently.

Red Hulk is about to kill the clone when Sam Wilson, the other Captain America, takes him away. However, the backpack is in Red Hulk's possession.

Amidst the chaos of Red Hulk's attack, Captain America risks his life to save a child from being crushed by castle rubble. Cap awakens in what appears to be Hell, where Doctor Doom is waiting for him.

This comic delves into complex political and ideological conflicts brilliantly, from Captain America's perspective.

Trama

Esta entrega continua donde quedo Hyde Street #8 con Pranky intentando quitarse los lentes de Mr X-Ray con la máscara de hombre lobo según las recomendaciones de Doctor Ego. Pranky debe revivir su pasado y no sentirse como monstruo por eso revive su nacimiento en un campo de guerra donde fue arrebatado de su madre. Scorekeeper tiene al alma de la madre de Pranky atrapada para chantajearlo. Pero The Butcher of Hyde Street aparece para "ayudar" a Pranky y le da unos segundos con su madre, pero esto no es gratis...The Butcher of Hyde Street le pide que lo libere en el castillo.

Por otro lado Pranky escapa y Mr X-Ray tiene de nuevo sus lentes y puede ver como su hija Judy abrió una especie de portal y le dijo su padre que nada es lo que parece, que está atrapada por Scorekeeper y lo más impactante es que revela que su nombre es EDMUND RIPLEY.

Plot

This installment picks up where Hyde Street #8 left off, with Pranky trying to remove Mr. X-Ray's glasses while wearing the werewolf mask, following Doctor Ego's advice. Pranky must confront his past and stop feeling like a monster, so he relives his birth on a battlefield where he was taken from his mother. Scorekeeper has Pranky's mother's soul trapped to blackmail him. But the Butcher of Hyde Street appears to "help" Pranky and grants him a few seconds with his mother, but this comes at a price... The Butcher of Hyde Street demands that he release him in the castle.

Meanwhile, Pranky escapes, and Mr. X-Ray has his glasses back. He sees his daughter Judy open a kind of portal and tells her father that nothing is as it seems, that she is trapped by Scorekeeper, and most shockingly, reveals that his name is Edmund Ripley.

This new arc begins with revelations, and all the residents of Hyde Street start searching for a way out of Scorekeeper's clutches. Cosmic paranormal horror with an addictive narrative, where it moves beyond being an anthology to present a unified plot.

Art

It offers a retro aesthetic and the same gloomy effect as supernatural horror and slasher films of the 1980s. It's detailed and achieves amazing facial expressions.
