¡El aclamado equipo creativo de GEOFF JOHNS y GARY FRANK se unen al colorista superestrella BRAD ANDERSON para traer a Image Comics a su primer héroe propiedad de un creador (creator owned)!
Ambientado en los años posteriores a una guerra nuclear que devastó el planeta, los forajidos desesperados luchan por sobrevivir en un mundo. del caos radiactivo. Más allá del páramo envenenado vive un hombre al que incluso los Nightcrawlers y Organ People temen. Algunos lo llaman Joe Glow, otros lo llaman Meltdown Man. Pero su nombre ... es Geiger.
Trama
Esta entrega sigue revelando parte del origen de Geiger, luego de la explosión nuclear, el cuerpo de Tariq absorbió mucha radiación ya que su tratamiento contra el cáncer había generado modificaciones del ADN, el Doctor Molotov le diseña un traje con dos barras de Boron que hacen que su energía se contenga, al retirarlas se libera y todos a su alrededor corren peligro.
Hailee y Henry disfrutan de la compañía de Geiger y les parece graciosa su manera de pensar, en especial cuando le preguntan el nombre de su agresivo perro de dos cabezas...Geiger lo llamo barney, eso les causó gracia a ambos niños.
El Rey esta desesperado por rescata el dispositivo "Nuclear Football" que tienen Hailee y Henry, solo le faltan los códigos nucleares que guardaba su padre (que fue senador de EE.UU) y así controlar otros misiles nucleares aún activos. Aquí muestran a la madre del Rey, que vive encerrada y sobre alimentada como una tortura infernal de gula, ella sabe donde estan los codigos pero no se los quiere dar a su hijo que la llama "bestia".
La secuencia final muestran a Geiger luchando contra THE ORGAN PEOPLE para salvar a Hailee y Henry. The Organ People so sobrevivientes del apocalipsis nuclear que re rehusaron a usar trajes para radiación, sus cuerpos están llenos de tumores y muchos de sus órganos están fallando, por lo que buscan atrapar personas y arrebatarle sus órganos y posiblemente comer lo que quede. Llevan una ambulancia con un cirujano para realizar estas cirugías en el momento. Esta secuencia recuerda mucho Mad Max pero aún más terrorífica.
Llega otras personas a auxiliar a Hailee y Henry...pero se desconocen sus intenciones.
Este capítulo sigue con más revelaciones importantes y ampliando este universo tan fértil de personajes que hace de la lectura adictiva.
Arte
Gary Frank sigue asombrando con todos los detalles de su arte que apoya loa colores de Brad Anderson. La secuencia de The Organ People es impactante.

What does it come from?

Out past the poisoned wasteland lives a man even the Nightcrawlers and Organ People fear. Some name him Joe Glow, others call him the Meltdown Man. But his name…is Geiger.
Plot
This installment continues to reveal part of the origin of Geiger, after the nuclear explosion, Tariq's body absorbed a lot of radiation since his cancer treatment had generated DNA modifications, Doctor Molotov designs a suit with two Boron bars that make that your energy is contained, when you withdraw them it is released and everyone around him is in danger.
Hailee and Henry enjoy Geiger's company and find the way he thinks funny, especially when they ask him the name of their aggressive two-headed dog ... Geiger called him Barney, that was funny to both children.
The King is desperate to rescue the "Nuclear Football" device that Hailee and Henry have, only missing the nuclear codes kept by his father (who was a US senator) and thus control other nuclear missiles still active. Here they show the King's mother, who lives locked up and overfed like an infernal torture of gluttony, she knows where the codes are but she doesn't want to give them to her son who calls her "beast".
The ending sequence shows Geiger fighting THE ORGAN PEOPLE to save Hailee and Henry. The Organ People are survivors of the nuclear apocalypse who refused to wear radiation suits, their bodies are full of tumors and many of their organs are failing, so they seek to trap people and take their organs and possibly eat what is left. They are monsters. This sequence is very reminiscent of Mad Max but even more terrifying.
Other people arrive to help Hailee and Henry ... but their intentions are unknown.
This chapter continues with more important revelations and expanding this universe so fertile of characters that it makes reading addictive.
Art
Gary Frank continues to amaze with all the details of his art that supports Brad Anderson's colors. The sequence of The Organ People is shocking.
