¿De qué viene?

La investigadora Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) obtiene su propia serie en este misterio de asesinato con un toque ocultismo.

Un misterioso de asesinato en una habitación cerrada desconcierta a la detective paranormal Sarah Jewell y a su socia Marie Therese cuando un viaje de fin de semana a una isla privada frente a la costa de Washington se complica. Atrapada por una tormenta y rodeado de una miríada de sospechosos que se han reunido para una subasta de artículos ocultos, el intrépido dúo debe desentrañar los misterios sobrenaturales que rodean a los invitados con la esperanza de descubrir al asesino. Pero todo el tiempo, los cuerpos se siguen amontonando, ¡y en cualquier momento Sarah o Marie Therese podrían ser las siguientes!

Trama

Sarah Jewell y Marie Therese están desconcertadas por la nueva muerte, en este caso de Mr Mackerrell, lo asesinaron con un objeto contundente, Mrs Loveland está desconsolada.

Marie Therese investiga al Doctor Caliban y Sarah investiga sobre Mr. Huang. La esposa de Arlen consigue correspondencia entre Huang y Arlen por años. Arlen le pedía que le consiguiera artefactos chinos de protección contra algo que temía.

La subasta se postpone hasta esclarecer lo que ocurre.

Sarah descubre a Huang haciendo una especie de hechizo para abrir la bóveda donde están todos los artefactos, sara lo enfrenta y empieza la pelea.

Este cómic empieza a esclarecer las circunstancias alrededor de la muerte de Arlen pero el asesino aún no saben quien es el asesino.

Arte

El cómic destaca en esta entrega las vestimentas de la época, en especial las pijamas.

Resumen

Sara y Marie Therese tienen en su mira a dos sospechosos, pero no tienen pruebas aún de nada, el suspenso se intensifica

Investigator Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) gets her own series in this murder mystery with an occult twist.

A locked-room murder mystery puzzles paranormal detective Sarah Jewell and her associate Marie Therese when a weekend trip on a private island off the coast of Washington goes astray. Trapped by a storm and surrounded by myriad suspects who have gathered for an auction of occult items, the intrepid duo must unravel the supernatural mysteries surrounding the guests in hopes of uncovering the murderer! But all the while, bodies keep piling up, and at any moment Sarah or Marie Therese could be next!

Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson return to the world of Hellboy, accompanied by artist Leila del Duca and colorist Michelle Madsen.

Plot

Sarah Jewell and Marie Therese are puzzled by the new death, in this case of Mr Mackerrell, somebody murder him with a blunt object, Mrs Loveland is heartbroken.

Marie Therese investigates Doctor Caliban and Sarah investigates Mr. Huang. Arlen's wife has corresponded between Huang and Arlen for years. Arlen was asking him to get Chinese protection devices against something she feared.

The auction is postponed until it is clear what happens.

Sarah discovers Huang doing a kind of spell to open the vault where all the artifacts are, she faces him and the fight begins.

This comic begins to clarify the circumstances around Arlen's death but the murderer still does not know who the murderer is.

The comic highlights in this installment the clothing of the time, especially the pajamas.

Sara and Marie Therese have two suspects in their sights, but they have no proof of anything yet, the suspense intensifies
