¡PETER DAVID SE REÚNE CON JOE FIXIT!

Conocido por su legendaria e impactante carrera en INCREDIBLE HULK, el escritor de cómics superestrella Peter David está demostrando que su aclamado trabajo en los mitos de Hulk está lejos de terminar. Después de haber terminado una trilogía épica de series limitadas que contó la gran saga del villano MAESTRO de Hulk, David ahora centrará su atención en otra creación icónica suya: ¡JOE FIXIT! El personaje que se abrió camino a través de Las Vegas como un guardaespaldas hedonista protagonizará su propia serie limitada ambientada durante el tiempo original de David en EL INCREÍBLE HULK. Junto a David en esta aventura de Sin City estará la artista Yildiray Cinar (The Marvels).
 
“Cuando creé Joe Fixit hace décadas, fue simplemente como un medio para cambiar la fórmula estándar”, explicó David. “Por lo general, Bruce habría creado algún tipo de situación y estaría preocupado de que Hulk inevitablemente apareciera y arruinara las cosas. La historia con Joe le dio la vuelta a la fórmula y dejó a Hulk con su gran situación en Las Vegas y le preocupaba que Bruce apareciera para arruinar las cosas. No tenía idea de que el personaje tendría tanto poder de permanencia, y que eventualmente se haría mucho con él en las páginas de IMMORTAL HULK. Estoy encantado de que Marvel me haya dado esta oportunidad de volver a visitar a un viejo amigo”.

Peter David and Yildiray Cinar team up in 2023 for a new JOE FIXIT limited series

New York, NY— July 20, 2022 — Known for his legendary and impactful run on INCREDIBLE HULK, superstar comics writer Peter David is proving his acclaimed work on the Hulk mythos is far from over! Having just finished an epic trilogy of limited series that told the grand saga of Hulk villain MAESTRO, David will now turn his attention to another iconic creation of his—JOE FIXIT! The fan-favorite Hulk persona that muscled his way through Las Vegas as a hedonistic bodyguard will star in his very own limited series set during David’s original time on the INCREDLBLE HULK. Joining David in this Sin City adventure will be artist Yildiray Cinar (The Marvels).

 

“When I created Joe Fixit decades ago, it was merely as a means to shake up the standard formula,” David explained. “Typically Bruce would have set up some sort of situation and he would be worried that the Hulk would inevitably show up and screw things up. The storyline with Joe flipped the formula on its head, and set up the Hulk with his great situation in Vegas and he was worried that Bruce would show up to screw things up. I had no idea that the character would have this much staying power, and that so much would eventually be done with him in the pages of the IMMORTAL HULK. I’m thrilled that Marvel has given me this opportunity to revisit with an old friend.”
