De los cocreadores premiados y superventas del New York Times de Something is Killing the Children, The Nice House on the Lake, The Department of Truth y Powers, llega esta ambiciosa experiencia de cómic de no ficción que describe historias reales de abducciones de ovnis con miras a capturando la extraña esencia de esos encuentros.
En este número de debut, Tynion presenta lo que él llama sus historias "Verdaderamente extrañas". Historias de gente corriente que se encuentra con lo extraño y lo imposible. TRAMA

Está basada en testimonios reales.
La lectura te atrapa desde el primer panel, donde te haces adicto y quieres saber lo que ocurre, toda esta tensión es apoyada por el arte que te impresiona y te transporta a esta terrible situación sobrenatural, aparte de que todo es colorido una escala de colores azules que sin duda la mejor manera de representar la época y la situación.

In this debut issue, Tynion presents what he calls his "True Weird" stories. Tales of ordinary people encountering the strange and the impossible. Teaming with artist Michael Avon Oeming, they retell some of the most popular UFO and alien encounter accounts starting with the infamous Betty and Barney Hill abduction--the widely publicized and very first abduction that went on to shape and influence all future encounter stories.

PLOT
This comic includes two stories, the first in the main and long one that remains open for several installments and the second is a short story of a single installment:
BLUE BOOK written by JAMES TYNION IV with art by MICHAEL AVON OEMING and lettering by ADITYA BIDIKA: this first chapter narrates how the married couple Betty and Barney Hill are intercepted by an unknown ship, which seems to be from another planet in the 1960s. It is based on real testimonials.
The reading catches you from the first panel, where you become addicted and want to know what is happening, all this tension is supported by the art that impresses you and transports you to this terrible supernatural situation, apart from the fact that everything is colorful, a scale of colors Blues certainly the best way to represent the era and situation.
