Ghost Machine Productions lanza HYDE STREET, una nueva y épica serie de cómics que inaugura el universo de terror de Ghost Machine, de los creadores legendarios Geoff Johns e Ivan Reis, cuya larga colaboración produjo títulos icónicos Blackest Night: Green Lantern y Aquaman.

¿De qué viene?

Sophie y Violet, amigas de toda la vida, eran prácticamente hermanas. Ahora, en la universidad, se han ido distanciando poco a poco. Pero cuando Violet se ahoga accidentalmente en una novatada de la hermandad, Sophie, devastada, le ruega a la vidente SISTERHOOD que contacte a su amiga muerta. A veces se consigue lo que se desea... pero en Hyde Street, siempre hay un precio... y es mortal.

Trama

Sophie y Violet son amigas de la infancia y una tragedia que involucró la muerte de la madre de Violet las unió más.

Ambas asisten a la universidad y Violet desea encajar por lo que aplica para ingresar a la Hermandad de Mujeres llamada SIGMA IOTA. En un ritual para entrar en la hermandad, Violet muere ahogada en la piscina.

Sophie devastada intenta descubrir a los culpables, pero no logra nada y desesperada llega a una calle donde está una tienda de ocultismo llamada SISTERHOOD, donde su anfitriona le ofrece la posibilidad de traer el alma de Violet a un precio que luego va a cobrar.

Sophie despierta de una pesadilla y descubre que del otro lado del espejo está Violet, que le pide que la ayude a ejecutar su venganza.

Interesante historia de apoyo a la saga de Hyde Street donde conoceremos a una residente de este lugar que se encarga de cobrar almas.

Arte 

Es detallado y mediante secuencias hipnotizantes y páginas splash espeluznantes, que a su vez son  apoyadas por un tono lúgubre, logran erizar la piel más de una vez. El arte ofrece una excelente definición de las anatomías que te permite fácilmente hacer comparaciones.

Resumen

Sophie quiere reencontrarse con su mejor amiga Violet y desesperada recurre a un lugar llamado SISTERHOOD...

What does it come from?

Lifelong friends Sophie and Violet were practically sisters. Now at college, they’ve been slowly drifting apart. But when Violet accidentally drowns at a sorority hazing, a devastated Sophie pleads with the psychic SISTER HOOD to contact her dead friend. Sometimes you get what you wish for…but on Hyde Street, there’s always a cost…and it’s a killer.

Plot

Sophie and Violet are childhood friends, and a tragedy involving the death of Violet's mother brought them closer together.

Both attend college, and Violet wants to fit in, so she applies to join the sorority called SIGMA IOTA. During a ritual to enter the sorority, Violet drowns in the pool.

Devastated, Sophie tries to uncover the culprits but is unsuccessful. Desperate, she arrives at a street where an occult shop called SISTERHOOD is located. The host offers her the chance to retrieve Violet's soul for a price she will later charge.

Sophie awakens from a nightmare and discovers Violet is on the other side of the mirror, asking her to help her exact her revenge.

An interesting story supporting the Hyde Street saga where we meet a resident of this place who is in charge of collecting souls. 

Art

It's detailed, and through mesmerizing sequences and eerie splash pages, supported by a gloomy tone, it manages to raise goosebumps. The art offers excellent anatomy definition that allows for easy comparisons.

Summary

Sophie wants to reunite with her best friend Violet and, desperate, turns to a place called SISTERHOOD...
