REVIEW IN ENGLISH:

Dynamite Comics launches this new series based on Mars Attacks, a series of collectible cards of 1962, with an arc that shows the invasion of the Earth by cruel and horrible Martians with violent attacks, they were a milestone in their era, mixing science fiction with terror.

In 1996 Tim Burton made a film with the same name.

This comic is for adult readers.
This book contains the comics from # 1 to # 5.

Where does it come from?

When Major Carbutt's son visits him in the old age, they are both unaware that the Martians are attacking the world, they have already destroyed New York and Washington, until they appear in his town.

The father and son relationship is hilarious because of the profound generational differences, with dialogues loaded with comedy, since the son is a lazy man who fails to keep a job while his is a Vietnam veteran who is very rigid in his convictions.

The comic shows hilariously how people react with this extraterrestrial apocalypse, while Major Carbutt in his age does not let himself be defeated. Meanwhile the US government (with a fictional president with moral problems) prepares for the counterattack.

What's going on?

History shows how this father and his son create an important personal bond because both of them must survive all this chaos, Major Carbutt begins to respect the personality and character of his son Spencer who now has a purpose in life.

This volume gives characters of an interesting evolution, discovers the reasons why Martians attack the earth and increases the scale of history with a new ray of hope for humanity.

The art of this comic is dramatic, epic but with a lot of black comedy.

Summary
This first volume shows the final evolution of Spencer's character, who finally achieves his vocation as an exterminator of Martians, this comic marks the starting point for what is coming and closes the past.
