Sinopsis

Trama
Esta nueva historia muestra el plan de dominación mundial que llevan siglos orquestando los vampiros, quienes en menos de 12 horas toman por completo EE.UU, es decir, en una sola noche. Todo pasa tan repentino que el mundo no se entera de lo que ocurre y no hay noticias reales, solo un posible hackeo.
Luego la historia nos traslada a la ciudad del Vaticano, donde Guido Cavelti, piloto de la fuerza aere Suiza va a aplicar para formar parte de la Guardia Suiza, encargada de la seguridad del Vaticano.
De repente bajo la sombra de los muros de la basílica de San Pedro unos seres empiezan a atacar y matar personas, la histeria masiva se desata y la gente se repliega en la Basílica, donde los vampiros no pueden pisar tierra santa, pero no están a salvo porque el tiempo no está de su lado al carecer de preparación, suministros y guerreros.
La guardia completa Suiza fue eliminada quirúrgicamente, solo quedan unos policías y Guido que empieza a liderar lo que puede ser la última resistencia humana en el planeta, es el primero que logra descifrar que son vampiros, aun cuando monjas no creen aun cuando las pruebas irrefutables están en sus narices.
Emocionante historia narrada de una manera agresiva y directa, con una premisa original que enfrenta a los vampiros contra sus enemigos naturales, la religión católica. El secuestro de un planeta para conseguir rescatar a una reina olvidada con un balance perfecto entre terror sobrenatural y teorías de conspiración sobre los secretos ocultos de una de las organizaciones religiosas más poderosas y longevas de la historia de la humanidad.

Arte
Con una característica postimpresionista, Per Berg rescata a la perfección el terror del caos y la historia masiva mezclado con el carácter lúgubre de los vampiros mediante sus trazos asimétricos y caricaturescos. Es desafiante y atrevido, muy diferente a cualquier artista que forma parte de la línea editorial de Millarworld.

Synopsis

Plot
This new story reveals the world domination plan that vampires have been orchestrating for centuries, culminating in their complete takeover of the United States in less than 12 hours—all in a single night. Everything happens so suddenly that the world is unaware of what is occurring; there are no real news reports, only speculation about a possible cyberattack.
The story then shifts to Vatican City, where Guido Cavelti, a pilot in the Swiss Air Force, applies to join the Swiss Guard, responsible for the security of the Vatican.
Suddenly, in the shadow of the walls of St. Peter's Basilica, creatures begin attacking and killing people. Mass hysteria ensues, and people take refuge inside the Basilica, where vampires cannot enter holy ground. However, they are not safe, as they lack preparation, supplies, and trained fighters, and time is running out.
The entire Swiss Guard is systematically eliminated. Only a few police officers and Guido remain, and he begins to lead what could be the last human resistance on the planet. He is the first to realize that they are vampires, even though the nuns refuse to believe him, despite the irrefutable evidence right before their eyes.
An exciting story, told in an aggressive and direct style, with an original premise that pits vampires against their natural enemy: the Catholic Church. The story follows the kidnapping of a planet to rescue a forgotten queen, with a perfect balance of supernatural horror and conspiracy theories about the hidden secrets of one of the most powerful and enduring religious organizations in human history.

Art
With a distinct post-impressionist style, Per Berg perfectly captures the terror and chaos of the story, blending it with the sinister nature of the vampires through his asymmetrical and somewhat caricatured lines. It is challenging and daring, very different from any other artist in the Millarworld imprint.
