Red Sonja es creada por Robert E. Howard de su universo de guerreros, ella proviene de Hyrkania, la llaman Sonja la roja no solo por su cabellera escarlata, es por toda la sangre que ha derramado su espada.

¿De qué viene?

En RedSonja #15 Sonja debe cumplir con su cargo como Master of War de Khitai  el primer día que lo asume al tener que detener un atentado contra el rey Ja'Khan.

Red Sonja odia a este nuevo rey porque asesinó a su mentor para llegar al trono, pero no tiene otra opción, sin embargo reaparece un amigo del pasado, Zo'ran, quien Sonja elige como su guardaespaldas y le da confianza de seguir.

¿Qué sucede?

Este capítulo vincula tres historias, la primera ubica a Red Sonja en Khitai cuando debe seguir las órdenes de su rey y conquistar una nueva región, que carece de importancia estratégica, solo es un capricho. Lo peor es que el ejército que le asignan son todos niños de 12 años, lo cual es una tradición cruel en Khitai.

La segunda historia incluye a Cyril el hijo en secreto de Phatmos y Oracon, que se creía era hijo de Dragan, quién está autoexiliado de Shadizar preparando su venganza contra Red Sonja. Esto se vincula directamente con el cómic Killing Red Sonja.

Los dos primeros relatos se relacionan entre sí porque destacan la pérdida de la inocencia en un niño. 

La tercera historia sirve de analogía final al explicar el festival de "Idra" que celebran en Khitai, que tiene dos versiones de la muerte de la hija de un antiguo rey, la ficticia y la real que involucra abuso sexual.

En este episodio Mark Russel y Bob Q se superan a sí mismos, la mejor entrega de este nuevo arco argumental.

Resumen

Red Sonja debe seguir órdenes y perpetuar una cruel tradición aún cuando no esté de acuerdo.

Red Sonja is created by Robert E. Howard from her universe of warriors, she comes from Hyrkania, they call her Red Sonja not only for her hair, it is for all the blood that her sword has shed.

What does it come from?

In RedSonja # 15 Sonja must fulfill his charge as Khitai's Master of War the first day he assumes it by having to stop an attack on King Ja'Khan.

 Red Sonja hates this new king because he murdered his mentor to get to the throne, but he has no other choice, however he reappeared to a friend from the past, Zoran, whom Sonja chooses as her bodyguard and gives him confidence to follow.

What's going on?

This chapter has three stories, the first places Red Sonja in Khitai when he must follow her king's orders and conquer a new region, which is of no strategic importance, is only a whim. The worst thing is that the army assigned to her are all 12-year-old children, which is a cruel tradition in Khitai.

The second story includes Cyril, the secret son of Phatmos and Oracon, believed to be the son of Dragan, who is self-exiled from Shadizar preparing his revenge against Red Sonja. This ties in directly with the Killing Red Sonja comic.

The first two stories are related to each other because they shows the loss of innocence in a child.

The third story serves as the final analogy in explaining the "Idra" festival in Khitai, which has two versions of the death of the ancient king's daughter, a fiction one and the real one involving sexual abuse.

In this episode, Mark Russel and Bob Q outdo themselves, the best installment in this new story arc.

Summary

Red Sonja must follow orders and perpetuate a cruel tradition even when she disagrees.
