La línea de cómics Alien de Marvel Comics da un giro brusco este diciembre en ALIEN: PARADISO. Escrita por Steve Foxe y dibujada por Edgar Salazar con arte adicional de Peter Nguyen, ALIEN: PARADISO es una serie limitada de cinco números que ilumina con luces de neón los horrores de la icónica franquicia con una audaz historia de las apuestas que debemos tomar para sobrevivir.
¡ALIEN: PARADISO presentará a los fanáticos un lado completamente nuevo del universo Alien cuando la forma de vida más letal del universo descubre un festín de nuevas víctimas en un resort de lujo! Pero estos turistas están lejos de ser inocentes, y mientras el Xenomorfo baña este pintoresco paisaje en sangre y carnicería, la corrupción, la codicia y el horror familiares que acompañan al territorio de las historias de Alien asoman su fea cabeza. ¡Bienvenidos a Paradiso, donde el dinero fluye como la sangre y la sangre fluye como el ácido! El Tulum del espacio, Paradiso es una joya escondida entre las colonias con su clima tropical, playas de arena blanca y una notable población de criminales hiperricos. Cuando los alguaciles coloniales Dash Nanda y Lydia Reeves son enviados allí para desmantelar una red de contrabando, creen que han ganado el premio gordo de la asignación de trabajo. “Con Romulus devolviendo la franquicia a sus raíces en muchos aspectos, quería asegurarme de que ofreciéramos a los lectores una historia que no pudieran encontrar en ningún otro lugar”, dijo Foxe. “Ubicar nuestra historia en las soleadas costas de un resort de playa de lujo poblado por criminales deshonestos, alguaciles encubiertos y empleados mal pagados nos llevó inmediatamente en una nueva dirección.
“Pero como alguien que considera a Alien quizás la película más perfecta de todos los tiempos, me apegué mucho a los fundamentos de lo que encontré tan horroroso en primer lugar: un pequeño grupo de personas fuera de su alcance, acechadas por una amenaza desconocida en un lugar contenido. Edgar, Peter y yo estamos trabajando para traerte el Alien que conoces, amas y temes, pero de una manera que nunca has visto antes. Toma una silla de playa y ten cuidado con el ácido que salpica”.

ALIEN: PARADISO will introduce fans to an all-new side of the Alien universe as the universe’s deadliest life form discovers a feast of fresh victims at a luxury resort! But these vacationers are far from innocent, and as the Xenomorph bathes this picturesque landscape in blood and carnage, the familiar corruption, greed, and horror that comes with the territory of Alien storytelling rears its ugly head! In a bold twist, each issue will feature special Xenomorph point of view pages drawn by Nguyen, allowing readers to see through the eyes of a Xenomorph as it hunts its terrified targets!

Welcome to Paradiso, where the money flows like blood and the blood flows like acid! The Tulum of space, Paradiso is a hidden gem among the colonies with its tropical climate, white sand beaches and a remarkable population of hyper-wealthy criminals. When Colonial Marshals Dash Nanda and Lydia Reeves are sent there to bust a smuggling ring, they think they’ve hit the job-assignment jackpot. But the only ones getting lucky here are those HUNGRY enough to take what they need.
“With Romulus taking the franchise back to its roots in many respects, I wanted to make sure we were offering readers a story they couldn’t find anywhere else,” Foxe said. “Setting our tale on the sun-kissed shores of a high-end beach resort populated by underhanded criminals, undercover marshals, and underpaid employees immediately spun us in a new direction.
