Ghost Machine Productions lanza GEIGER en un nuevo volumen, del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Gary Frank y el colorista Brad Anderson. Esta serie de comics tendrá frecuencia mensual y forma parte de la primera ola de cómics de Ghost Machine Productions. La serie sigue las aventuras de Tariq Geiger, el misterioso Hombre Resplandeciente presentado por primera vez en la exitosa serie GEIGER Vol 1 de Johns y Frank, que se lanzó en 2021 y fue publicada por Image Comics. GEIGER también se está desarrollando para televisión en Paramount TV con Justin Simien como director.
¿De qué viene?
En su búsqueda de una cura para su existencia radiactiva, Geiger, Barney y Nate, el Caballero Nuclear, se topan con una comunidad oculta en las tierras baldías, una que ofrece un eco de lo que una vez fue la América suburbana... y una esperanza de lo que podría volver a ser. Pero las fuerzas oscuras que persiguen al Hombre Resplandeciente amenazan con destruirlo todo, y solo la ira desatada de Geiger puede detenerlas. Pero ¿Irá Tariq demasiado lejos? La respuesta: sí.
Trama
Geiger y Nate se enfrentan a un grupo de Caballeros al cual Nate pertenecía en la Vegas, Barney también ayuda, mientras la nueva mascota de Nate Zig Zag se esconde.
Goldfiled, uno de los caballeros y ex compañero de Nate, hiere de muerte a Nate y Geiger interviene de manera violenta, esta explosión de ira hace que Nate dude si en verdad Geiger ayuda a los desvalidos o se quiere vengar del mundo de cualquier manera.
Goldfield era hijo de la Reina, una lugarteniente de las Vegas, quien envió ahora a su Nuevo Rey a buscar a Geiger, la Reina le rinde cuentas al misterioso Presidente Griffin.
En el camino hasta Ash Arden, donde supuestamente esta la cura para la condición de Geiger, Geiger, Nate, Barney y Zig Zag se consiguen con tres niños llamados Beverly, Carol y Ronald, que son atacados por hormigas mutantes gigantes. Geiger y Nate van a acompañar a los tres niños hasta donde están sus supuestos maestros, que odian los libros.
Nate ve como Geiger ayuda a estos niños, por lo que vuelve su fe en el Hombre Resplandeciente.
Este cómic mejora con cada entrega y mantiene un ritmo narrativo cohesivo y adictivo, Geoff Johns resalta cómo la humanidad en esta crisis se vuelve cruel e indiferente del dolor ajeno, como se acercan a la barbarie sin darse cuenta.
Arte
Este numero le da la bienvenida a los artistas Paul Pelletier, Andrew Hennessy, quienes ofrecen un arte con un tono diferente y enfocado más en narrar con secuencias dinámicas.
La rotulación de Rob Leigh es una explosión de adrenalina onomatopéyica.

What does it come from?
On his quest to find a cure to his radioactive existence, Geiger, Barney, and Nate the Nuclear Knight come across a hidden community in the wastelands—one that offers an echo of what once was suburban America…and a hope for what it could be again. But the dark forces in pursuit of The Glowing Man threaten to destroy it all, and only the unleashed rage of Geiger can stop them. But will Tariq go too far? The answer: yes.
Plot
Geiger and Nate confront a group of Knights that Nate belonged to in Vegas, Barney also helps out, while Nate's new pet Zig Zag hides.
Goldfield, one of the Knights and Nate's former partner, mortally wounds Nate and Geiger intervenes violently, this explosion of anger makes Nate doubt if Geiger really helps the helpless or wants revenge on the world in any way.
Goldfield was the son of the Queen, a lieutenant of Las Vegas, who now sends her New King to find Geiger, the Queen answers to the mysterious President Griffin.
On the way to Ash Arden, where the cure for Geiger's condition is supposedly, Geiger, Nate, Barney and Zig Zag meet three children named Beverly, Carol and Ronald, who are attacked by giant mutant ants. Geiger and Nate go to accompany the three children to where their supposed teachers are, who hate books.
Nate sees Geiger helping these children, so he once again has faith in the Glowing Man.
This comic gets better with each issue and maintains a cohesive and addictive narrative rhythm, Geoff Johns highlights how humanity in this crisis becomes cruel and indifferent to the pain of others, how they approach barbarism without realizing it.
Art
This issue welcomes artists Paul Pelletier, Andrew Hennessy, who offer art with a different tone and more focused on narrating with dynamic sequences.
The lettering by Rob Leigh is an explosion of onomatopoeic adrenaline.
Summary
Geiger, Nate, Barney and Zig Zag continue their journey to Geiger's supposed cure, but along the way they decide to help some helpless children.
