El aclamado dúo creativo detrás de “Cyberpunk 2077: Big City Dreams” presenta una novela gráfica original: “The Weapon is Hungry”.

«The Weapon is Hungry es una historia que estuve escribiendo durante algunos años», dice Sztybor. “Empezamos a trabajar en ello con Alessio hace casi 10 años, incluso teníamos 20 páginas listas, muy diferentes a lo que verán en la versión final. Aunque la historia era similar, el peso emocional era diferente. Creo que necesitaba convertirme en padre para finalmente encontrar de qué debía tratar esta historia. Aunque aquí hay monstruos gigantes, yakuza, un chef de sushi loco y varias secuencias de acción enormes al estilo Akira, es una historia sobre la paternidad y las responsabilidades. Siempre escribo historias personales, sobre cosas y sentimientos que no entiendo, y por eso escribo, para explorarlos, para entenderlos. Pero siempre busco un género perfecto y tropos de la cultura pop para que esos temas personales resalten más. Por eso, la peor madre del mundo (y bombera) de repente necesita cuidar de un bebé gigante (una criatura tipo kaiju) y decidir de qué es realmente responsable: ¿de su hijo humano (como madre), de un monstruo recién nacido (como su guardiana) o tal vez de toda la humanidad (como bombera)? Así que el Arma es «El arma tiene hambre» es mi intento de comprender cuáles son tus deberes y responsabilidades más importantes como padre, amante y ser humano, y si es posible ser y cumplir con todo a la vez.

«Ha sido un viaje largo e intenso, especialmente al explorar a fondo las emociones de los personajes», añadió Fioriniello. «Admiro profundamente la dirección de Sztybor y su visión cinematográfica, que me impulsó a construir profundidad a través del movimiento y la interpretación, a la vez que lograba la magnitud y el impacto que solo un mundo de Kaiju puede desatar en sus escenas de acción».
