Dynamite Comics lanza esta nueva serie basada en Mars Attacks, una serie de tarjetas coleccionables de 1962 de la empresa Toops, las cartas forman un arco de la historia que muestran la invasión de la Tierra por marcianos crueles y horribles con ataques violentos, fueron un hito en su época, mezclando ciencia ficción con terror.
En 1996 Tim Burton hizo una película con el mismo nombre.

¿De qué viene?
En MARS ATTACK #1 el Mayor Carbutt y su hijo Spencer deben dejar sus diferencias y escapar del ancianato en pleno ataque letal de los Marcianos, Spencer lleva su padre en una carretilla para poder ir más rápido.
El presidente de EE.UU prepara un contraataque.
¿Qué sucede?
Spencer y su padre se consiguen con un grupo de sobrevivientes que se denominaron la Milicia de la Tierra, que tienen en su poder armas de alto calibre y piensan que por eso podrán superar en poder a los marcianos.
La experiencia del Mayor Carbutt le dice que se deben ir al fuerte Woods, porque no están preparados para lo que les viene.
Este cómic posee muchas escenas ultraviolentas donde los Marcianos acaban con toda fuerza humana y ganado usando sus armas de rayos térmicos, claro está con toques de humor, muy crudo y negro pero gracioso.
Arte y Trama
Los intercambios entre Spencer y su padre son hilarantes,excelente guion de Kyle Starks y Chris Schweizer sabe cómo impresionar con las secuencias de acción.
Resumen
Esta segunda entrega es aún más entretenida, con espectaculares secuencias de ataques de los Marcianos, haciendo tributo a esta franquicia y refrescándola a la vez.

Where does it come from?
In MARS ATTACK #1 Major Carbutt and his son Spencer, must leave their differences and escape from the old house in the deadly attack of the Martians, Spencer takes his father in a wheelbarrow to go faster.
The US president prepares a counterattack.
What's going on?
Spencer and his father get with a group of survivors who were called the Earth Militia, who have high-caliber weapons and think that they can overcome the Martians in power.
Major Carbutt's experience tells him that they must go to Fort Woods, because they are not prepared for what is coming.
This comic has many ultraviolent scenes where the Martians finish with all human strength and livestock using their thermal ray weapons, of course with touches of humor, very raw and dark.
Art and Plot
The exchanges between Spencer and his father are hilarious, excellent screenplay by Kyle Starks and Chris Schweizer knows how to impress with the action sequences.
Summary
This second issue is even more entertaining, with spectacular sequences of attacks from the Martians, paying tribute to this franchise and refreshing it at the same time.
