El debut del anticipado cómic de terror Fear Case del escritor Matt Kindt (BANG !, Mind MGMT), el artista Tyler Jenkins (The Grass Kings, Neverboy) y la colorista Hilary Jenkins (Black Badge, King of Nowhere) se agotó a nivel de distribuidor antes de la fecha de venta del 3 de febrero de 2021. Dark Horse Comics ha recurrido a la aclamada Andrea Sorrentino, artista detrás de la serie de terror ganadora de Eisner "Gideon Falls" para proporcionar una nueva portada para la segunda edición del número.

Descrito como "True Detective" y "The Ring", Fear Case marca la primera incursión de Matt Kindt en el género de terror. Dice Kindt: "Nunca antes había escrito una historia del género de terror. Dark Horse Comics estrenará el primer número de Fear Case el 3 de febrero de 2021 con una portada estándar de Tyler Jenkins y portadas variantes de Francisco Francavilla y Duncan Fegredo. Dark Horse Comics publicará la segunda variante de impresión del número 1, con una portada completamente nueva de Andrea Sorrentino, el 10 de febrero, para satisfacer la gran demanda de las tiendas de cómics y los lectores.
