¿De qué viene?
A partir de las páginas de The Resistance, The Joneses se enfoca en una familia suburbana con un gran secreto: en la pandemia mundial conocida como la "Gran Muerte" (debido al virus XV1N1), madre, padre, hermana y hermano se transformaron en algo sobrehumano. Mientras el mundo abraza el fascismo nacido del miedo, los Jones se dan cuenta de que enfrentan graves consecuencias si son expuestos como "Reborns". ¿Mantienen un perfil bajo y se esconden a la vista... o usan sus poderes para el bien y arriesgan la exposición?
Trama
Los Joneses viven en una constante tensión mientras la histeria colectiva se apodera de sus vecinos quienes quieren erradicar a los Reborns.
La familia está internamente dividida la madre Sonya (lanza explosiones de energía por sus manos) y el hijo menor Marcus (se teletransporta) no quieren usar sus poderes por tener miedo al rechazo y que queden en la mira de la sociedad y el gobierno, mientras que el padre Tommy (crea una especie de exoesqueleto de piedra) y la hija mayor Agatha (super velocidad) usan sus poderes para hacer el bien, ellos quieren ayudar a hacer el mundo un lugar mejor.
Pero cuando Tommy y Sonya deciden investigar lo que está tramando la comunidad, se activan las alarmas de los Reborns que desean usar sus poderes para robar.
Este capitulo esta lleno de intriga, acción y los personajes empiezan a evolucionar y aceptar su condición. Esta historia maneja una interesante analogía sobre el racismo que aunque ocurra en un mundo de superhumanos es muy fácil identificarla.
Arte
Logra geniales detalles de los personajes, en especial en las expresiones faciales, ya que todos viven momentos tensos llenos de miedo y frustración.
Resumen
Los Joneses viven un profunda división familiar causado por el temor de ser descubiertos, pero sus vecinos intolerantes están cada vez más cerca de descubrirlos

What's it coming from?
Spinning out of the pages of The Resistance, The Joneses focuses on a suburban family with a big secret: In the global pandemic known as the "Great Death," mother, father, sister and brother were all transformed into something superhuman. While the world embraces fascism born of fear, the Joneses realize they face grave consequences if they are exped as "Reborns." Do they keep a low profile and hide in plain sight...or use their powers for good and risk exposure?
Plot
The story moves to a family community in Carlisle, Illinois, USA, near Chicago, where they begin to feel the rise of the Reborns, who in this case have only caused havoc and crimes, causing a feeling of hatred towards beings with powers and the Joneses are caught in the middle.
Tommy, Sonya, Agatha and Marcus are the Joneses, a family that acquire superpowers after the XV1N1 virus pandemic, Tommy and Agatha secretly use their powers in fear of being discovered while Sonya and Marcus don't want to use them at all. This situation is causing internal friction in the family and their powers are not something they can hide for long.
This comic starts with intensity and a lot of tension, it's a brilliant and totally relevant take on racism from a superhero point of view.
Art
It is very dynamic, full of action, suspense and with amazing artistic details.
Summary
A social and family drama is seen from the perspective of super heroes. This comic is sobering, moving and intense
