La historia de los no muertos en el Universo Marvel continúa mientras Thanos emprende la búsqueda de las Gemas del Infinito. El Titán Loco de nuestro universo una vez mató a la mitad de la vida. ¿Qué hará en un universo donde los muertos no mueren?
Trama
Esta versión de Marvel Zombies reimagina el origen y diferentes eventos de Marvel Comics desde la década de 1960, en este caso cierra el evento Secret Wars y activa Infinity Gauntlet.
En Battleworld Jean transformada en Phoenix zombie se come a Iron Man, para luego ir hasta Beyonder y devorarlo, por lo que todos los seres de Battleworld on libres. En este lugar Spider-man y Jessica Jones buscan una salida y Spider-man obtiene el traje negro que se conecta con la horda de zombies que trabajan en forma de colmena, puede que venom sea parte del virus.
En el planeta Tierra, en el Sanctum Sanctorum, llega Silver Surfer a advertir a Doctor Strange que viene un dios a acabar con todo, que la plaga zombie es liderada por un Dios Oscuro desconocido. Strange está en su forma astral porque su cuerpo físico es zombie.
Silver Surfer y Doctor Strange se entrevistan con Thanos y le ofrecen su ayuda pata completar las gemas del guantelete y así arreglar todo este caos cósmico, pero los zombies Reed Richards, Doctor Doom, Ben Grim, Daredevil y Hulk se les adelantan y se están devorando a Grandmaster que tiene la gema final.
Este cómic es de la línea "Red Band" por lo tanto incluye violencia explícita, vísceras, sangre y terror.
Arte
Ofrece el tono lúgubre necesario para narrar esta historia de terror tan intensa, detalles en las vísceras y esas expresiones de los zombies donde sus ojos carecen de vida es escalofriante y brillante, capturando a su vez un tono similar a los cómics de la Era de Plata de Marvel.

Plot
This version of Marvel Zombies reimagines the Marvel Comics origin story from the 1960s. This installment chronicles Jean Grey's first day with the X-Men, where she had to escape the mansion because everyone was infected.
Jean tries to stop the zombie massacres and meets Jessica Jones. She introduces her to Spider-Man, and the three enter a futuristic structure. There, they are transported to Battleworld, a world created by the Beyonder. This reimagines the Secret Wars event. On Battleworld, they encounter Captain America, Iron Man, Ultron, Doctor Octopus, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Jean Grey, and Spider-Man.
The Beyonder sends Captain America, Iron Man, Ultron, Doctor Octopus, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Jean Grey, and Spider-Man to Battleworld to fight the Frightful Four, the Hulk, Hawkeye, and Zombie Doctor Doom. The battles last for weeks, with losses on both sides.
Jean Grey is attacked by a horde. Captain America rescues her, but she's injured by zombies. Doctor Octopus is unable to stop the infection and uses his new invention, a high-energy incinerator. When he uses it on Jean, she awakens as a Phoenix!
The mystery of the starless sky still remains.
This comic is from the "Red Band" line, so it includes explicit violence, gore, blood, and horror.
Art
It offers the gloomy tone needed to tell this intense horror story. The details in the gore and the zombies' expressions, where their eyes are lifeless, are chilling and brilliant, capturing a tone similar to Marvel's Silver Age comics.
Summary
The surviving heroes face off against the zombies on Battleworld.
This reimagining of Marvel's editorial history with a wicked twist improves with each issue.
