Sinopsis
El brutal conflicto entre los Franchetti y los rusos se intensifica hasta convertirse en una guerra de bandas, mientras Jackie Estacado lucha por comprender su herencia: ¡el caótico poder conocido como la Oscuridad! Trama
Jackie visita a su amiga de la infancia Jenny, ambos se conocieron en el orfanato, pero después que Jackie se fue con el Tío Jackie, el orfanato fue arrasado por un incendio misteriosos, que dejó a Jenny con cicatrices. Jenny a diferencia de Jackie ha dedicado su vida a ser altruista y lejos del crimen organizado, el padrastro es un expolicía que se retiró por una herida causada por el Tío Frankie.
Ellos hablan de sus infancias diferentes con familias adoptivas, Jackie no se queja pero el Tio Frankie fue muy rudo con él.
Esta visita de Jackie a Jenny es para decirle lo que está experimentando, sus poderes se empiezan manifestar, el pude ver cosas que nadie ve, imágenes horripilantes de lo los rodea. Una voz le advierte que debe esconderse en las sombras.
Cuando el equipo de Sonatine estaba por interceptar a Jackie, aparecen los ángeles guerreros de Angelus, liderados por Krakus y atacan a Jackie sin importar el daño colateral, mueren muchas personas que rodean a Jackie, claro solo Jackie los puede ver, Jenny solo ve como desmiembran a las personas en el aire.
Jackie protege a Jenny y se esconden en la estación del metro donde le dispara a todas las lámparas, en la oscuridad absoluta los poderes de DARKNESS surge, así como su ejército que elimina a los ángeles.
Jackie se lleva a Jenny por las vías del metro y llama a Sonatine, le pide que cuide a Jenny, Sonatine le da la bienvenida a esta nueva vida.
Esta entrega mantiene los elementos de terror sobrenatural mezclados con crimen urbano/mafia donde Jackie es un antihéroe que está por demostrar su verdadero valor moral.
Arte
Es orgánico pero con una calidad hiperreal, donde la cantidad de detalles son hipnotizantes, ofreciendo un tono similar a la saga original del Silvestri pero refrescada con otra impronta.
Resumen
Jackie empieza a conocer el alcance de su poder, pero al mismo tiempo debe proteger a Jenny.

Synopsis
Plot
The brutal conflict between the Franchettis and the Russians escalates into a full-on gang war, as Jackie Estacado struggles to make sense of his inheritance—the chaotic power known as the Darkness! But Kalashnikov-toting gangsters are the least of Jackie's worries. The Angelus has set her sights on him, and her warriors will stop at nothing to destroy the Darkness once and for all...
Jackie visits his childhood friend Jenny. They met at the orphanage, but after Jackie left with Uncle Jackie, the orphanage was destroyed by a mysterious fire, leaving Jenny scarred. Unlike Jackie, Jenny has dedicated her life to altruism and staying away from organized crime. Her stepfather is a former police officer who retired due to an injury inflicted by Uncle Frankie.
They talk about their different childhoods with adoptive families. Jackie doesn't complain, but Uncle Frankie was very harsh with him.
Jackie's visit to Jenny is to tell her about what he's experiencing. His powers are beginning to manifest; he can see things no one else can, horrifying images of his surroundings. A voice warns him that he must hide in the shadows.
Just as Sonatine's team was about to intercept Jackie, Angelus's warrior angels, led by Krakus, appeared and attacked Jackie indiscriminately, killing many people around him. Of course, only Jackie could see them; Jenny could only watch as people were dismembered in mid-air.
Jackie protected Jenny, and they hid in the subway station, where he shot out all the lights. In the absolute darkness, the powers of Darkness emerged, along with his army, which eliminated the angels.
Jackie took Jenny along the subway tracks and called Sonatine, asking him to take care of Jenny. Sonatine welcomed him into this new life.
This installment maintains the elements of supernatural horror mixed with urban crime/mafia, where Jackie is an antihero who is about to prove his true moral compass.
Art
It's organic yet hyperrealistic, with mesmerizing attention to detail, offering a similar tone to Silvestri's original saga but refreshed with a different style.
Summary
Jackie begins to understand the extent of her power, but at the same time, she must protect Jenny.
