Trama

Excelente inicio de esta historia que mezcla el género bélico con lo sobrenatural con un gran toque de realidad ya que ocurre durante hechos reales.

Arte

Tiene muchas texturas y juega mucho con las sombras, que destaca el terror de estos soldados a lo desconocido.

Plot

The survivors of the German submarine U-184 shipwreck, struggling to survive all the threats and improbable creatures that inhabit this island, are met by their captain, who tries to remain calm and prevent his soldiers from dying one by one.

King Kong is undoubtedly the king of all animals, and these soldiers are intruders in his kingdom, Skull Island. This volume narrates the five days they spent trying to survive this shipwreck.

An excellent start to this story that blends the war genre with the supernatural, with a strong touch of realism since it takes place during real events.

Art

It features many textures and makes extensive use of shadows, highlighting the terror these soldiers feel in the face of the unknown.

Summary

A crew of shipwrecked soldiers are at the mercy of lethal prehistoric predators at the end of World War I.

Trama

Elvira luego de resolver el caso con Vincent Price es enviada a un universo de bolsillo donde revive una serie de películas clásicas de terror en diferentes épocas del cine, comenzando por Psicosis de Alfred Hitchcock, El Resplandor de Stanley Kubrick, Alien de Ridley Scott, Pesadilla en  la Calle del Infierno (Freddy Krueger) de Wes Craven y la Mosca de David Cronenberg, claro está hacen referencia a estas películas pero no usan los mismos nombres, pero es evidente que hablan de ellas. 

Estas aventuras peligrosas que están poniendo en peligro la realidad por lo que aparece una agencia llamada la W.O.W encargada de controlar todas esas actividades que ponen en riesgo la realidad.

Elvira rompe la cuarta pared en cada pagina con chistes inteligentes y agudos, donde las referencias brillantes a la cultura pop les hara reir sin parar. 

Este volumen cierra con la promesa del regreso de Elvira pero ahora a Monsterland.

Arte

Silvia de nuevo atrapa el tono y detalles de cada una de las películas clásicas de terror que hacen referencia/tributo, es un deleite visual sus capacidades de adaptación, tanto de espacios como de los personajes, aparte de siempre resaltar la sensualidad y picardía de Elvira.

Resumen

Elvira pone a prueba sus conocimientos de películas de terror  para poder salvarse ya que las está viviendo en carne propia.

Excelente punto de partida de una serie inteligente llena de cultura pop

Its main characteristic it's her acute sense of humor / self-conscious and that frequently breaks the fourth wall. This comic highlight all these qualities.

Plot

After solving the case with Vincent Price, Elvira is sent to a pocket universe where she relives a series of classic horror films from different eras of cinema, starting with Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, Ridley Scott's Alien, Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (Freddy Krueger), and David Cronenberg's The Fly. Of course, they reference these films, but don't use the same titles; however, it's clear they are alluding to them.

These dangerous adventures are threatening reality, leading to the emergence of an agency called the W.O.W., tasked with controlling all these activities that put reality at risk.

Elvira breaks the fourth wall on every page with clever and sharp jokes, and her brilliant pop culture references will have you laughing non-stop.

This volume closes with the promise of Elvira's return, but this time to Monsterland.

Art

Silvia once again captures the tone and details of each of the classic horror films she references/pays tribute to. Her adaptability, both in terms of spaces and characters, is a visual delight, and she always highlights Elvira's sensuality and mischievousness.

Summary

Elvira puts her knowledge of horror films to the test in order to survive, as she is experiencing them firsthand. An excellent starting point for a smart series brimming with pop culture.

Trama

William sigue haciendo lobby para que aprueben el nuevo sustituto de azúcar que causa Cáncer, se debe reunir con personas detestables y con mucho dinero que les permite hacer lo que quieran.

Hay un detective que está averiguando el asesinato que realizó Orson, que tiene pistas claves de lo que ocurre y está decido. Es un nuevo personaje que se suma a esta maraña conspirativa y de perversidad social.

La esposa de William, Marnie está armada y su psicopatía se está descontrolando, William corre peligro.

La narrativa de este cómic decrece en ese ritmo narrativo acelerado, con huevos personales que dificultan seguir la historia, no está claro lo que ocurre ni cómo conectar todos los puntos.

Arte

Es muy detallado, donde logra expresiones faciales impecables que ayudan a narrar esta historia de corrupción social y humana.

Resumen

Todas se complica a William y a Orson, mientras un detective entra a investigar

Plot

William's wife, Marnie, is armed, and her psychopathy is spiraling out of control. William is in danger.

The narrative of this comic slows down due to its accelerated pace, with personal issues that make it difficult to follow the story. It's unclear what's happening and how to connect all the dots.

Art

It's very detailed, achieving impeccable facial expressions that help tell this story of social and human corruption.

Summary

Everything becomes more complicated for William and Orson as a detective begins investigating.

Coinciding with Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Jubilee headlines a solo adventure this April in JUBILEE DEADLY REUNION #1 by Gene Luen Yang and Michael YG.

 

New York, NY— January 16, 2026 — On April 29, Marvel Comics will shine a special spotlight on the X-Men’s Jubilee in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! The iconic mutant firecracker, currently starring in Gail Simone, Dave Marquez, and Luciano Vecchio’s Uncanny X-Men, will strike out on her own in JUBILEE: DEADLY REUNION #1, a Marvel’s Voices one-shot written by Eisner Award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang (Shang-Chi) and acclaimed rising star artist Michael YG (Iron Fist). The saga kicks off when Jubilee’s long-lost cousin shows up at the X-Men’s doorstep—with mutant powers of his own and a mission that will force Jubilee to explore her Chinese heritage and family history in a profound way!

"I've been a big fan of Jubilee since high school, when I was reading the Chris Claremont and Jim Lee X-Men run,” Yang shared. “She just felt like someone I would've been friends with at school, except she's an X-Man. She's also an American Born Chinese like me, so I've always wanted to tell a story about her uneasy relationship with her roots. I'm thrilled to finally get the chance."
