 ¿De qué viene?

La investigadora Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) obtiene su propia serie en este misterio de asesinato con un toque ocultismo.

Un misterioso de asesinato en una habitación cerrada desconcierta a la detective paranormal Sarah Jewell y a su socia Marie Therese cuando un viaje de fin de semana a una isla privada frente a la costa de Washington se complica. Atrapada por una tormenta y rodeado de una miríada de sospechosos que se han reunido para una subasta de artículos ocultos, el intrépido dúo debe desentrañar los misterios sobrenaturales que rodean a los invitados con la esperanza de descubrir al asesino. Trama

Sarah Jewell y Marie Therese siguen concentradas en descubrir al asesino, y cada una tiene un sospechoso, que logran interrogar.

Marie Therese logra que el Doctor Caliban les diga la razón de estar en esa mansión, resulta que es sobrino del niño llamado Chauncey que hace años desapareció con Arlen, solo consiguieron un cadáver en estado de descomposición de un adulto con la ropa de Chauncey . Caliban lleva años detrás de Arlen para interrogarlo y siempre se ha escondido hasta que muere y necesita buscar en esa mansión.

Sarah descubre que Huang en realidad quiere recuperar un artefacto peligroso que esta en esa mansión, el trabaja para la sociedad Golden Crane que lleva años cuidando a China de ataques de otro mundo.

Pero la revelación más impactante es que descubren que la casa está llena de pasadizos escondidos y en ese lugar se encuentra Arlen VIVO!!.

Arte

Esta entrega demuestra la capacidad artística de Leila, ya que tiene que ilustrar varios lugares y épocas diferentes y lo hace manera maravillosa.

Resumen

Sara y Marie están muy cerca de descubrir el misterio y al asesino. Este penúltimo capítulo está lleno de revelaciones importantes

Investigator Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) gets her own series in this murder mystery with an occult twist.

A locked-room murder mystery puzzles paranormal detective Sarah Jewell and her associate Marie Therese when a weekend trip on a private island off the coast of Washington goes astray. Trapped by a storm and surrounded by myriad suspects who have gathered for an auction of occult items, the intrepid duo must unravel the supernatural mysteries surrounding the guests in hopes of uncovering the murderer! But all the while, bodies keep piling up, and at any moment Sarah or Marie Therese could be next!

Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson return to the world of Hellboy, accompanied by artist Leila del Duca and colorist Michelle Madsen.

Plot

Sarah Jewell and Marie Therese remain focused on uncovering the killer, and each has a suspect, who they manage to question.

Marie Therese manages to get Doctor Caliban to tell them the reason for being in that mansion, it turns out that he is the nephew of the boy named Chauncey who disappeared years ago with Arlen, they only got a corpse in a state of decomposition of an adult with Chauncey's clothes. Caliban has been after Arlen for years for questioning and has always been in hiding until he dies and needs to search that mansion for answers

Sarah discovers that Huang actually wants to recover a dangerous artifact that is in that mansion, he works for the Golden Crane society that has been guarding China from otherworldly attacks for years.

But the most shocking revelation is that they discover that the house is full of hidden passages and in that place is Arlen ALIVE !!.

Art

This installment demonstrates Leila's artistic ability, as she has to illustrate several different places and times and she does it marvelously.

Summary

Sara and Marie are very close to discovering the mystery and the murderer. This penultimate chapter is full of important revelations
