Del mundo de la exitosa serie de superhéroes Minor Threats, de Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum y Scott Hepburn, surge una nueva historia de desvalidos disfrazados, que presenta un grupo de apoyo para superhéroes, que luchan por recuperar sus mediocres vidas después de probar su verdadero potencial.
¡Mary the Multi-Monster! The Tripper! Crab Louie! Kid Curious! Persona! Anteriormente, los poco convencionales superhéroes de la lista B, The Alternates, que aparentemente se sacrificaron para detener una invasión de otra dimensión. TRAMA
Mary the Multi-Monster! The Tripper! Crab Louie! Kid Curious! y Persona, tienen reuniones de apoyo para hablar sobre sus experiencias en The Ledge, esta dimensión que les afectó sus poderes y parte de su psique.
Los poderes de cada son una explosion creativa, que despiertan el interés conocer con detenimiento cada una de las historias de origen individualmente:
- The Multi Monster: puede convertir sus extremidades en diferentes monstruos
- The Tripper: se puede trasladar a cualquier lugar en segundos, es un GPS humano.
- Crab Louie: posee poderes sobrehumanos derivados de cangrejos gracias a un experimento fallido.
- Kid Curious: un genio que al parecer no envejece.
- Persona: puede acceder a diferentes habilidades de sus vidas pasadas para resolver crímenes.
Todos ellos tienen recuerdos traumáticos de esta Dimensión Espejo, donde la realidad era diferente, regresar luego de cinco años les ha traumado por conseguir un mundo diferente, donde sus habilidades no son tan asombrosas o necesarias.
Multimonster y Tripper son alertados por The Searcher que algo de The Ledge ha entrado en nuestro mundo, aun cuando estos sobrevivientes estaban seguros de haber cerrado ese portal. Esa misma noche Mary recibe la visita de The Divider, cuyo poder es dividirse y cada división tiene conciencia propia y al parecer no soporta el dolor que le dejó The Ledge.
Mary y Tripper van con Divider y descubren que algo perverso y adictivo está en las calles y que usa parte de la energía de The Ledge.
Oswalt Blum y Seeley tienen un conocimiento profundo y claro de la mitología del cómic de superhéroes corales de todas las eras Oro, Plata, Bronce y Moderna, por lo que lo deconstruyen para agregarle realismo, misterios y cruda crisis social actual.

What does it come from?
Spinning out of the world of the hit Minor Threats superhero series by Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum, and Scott Hepburn comes a new tale of costumed underdogs--featuring a support group for superheroes, struggling to reclaim their mediocre lives after tasting their true potential.
Mary the Multi-Monster! The Tripper! Crab Louie! Kid Curious! Persona! Formerly the offbeat b-list superheroes, The Alternates, who seemingly sacrificed themselves to stop an invasion from another dimension. Instead they were transported to a mirror reality where they lived complex lives in a more four-dimensional existence--expanding both their powers and consciousness. Five years later they've returned to Twilight City, struggling to reacclimate to their old lives in a traditional two-dimensional superhero world--in withdrawal from the vivid ones they left behind. When elements from this alternate reality turn up as a dangerous new street drug, some of the heroes band together to destroy it, while others succumb to its temptation.

PLOT
Mary the Multi-Monster! TheTripper! Crab Louie! Curious Kid! and Persona, have support meetings to talk about their experiences in The Ledge, this dimension that affected their powers and part of their psyche.
The powers of each are a creative explosion, which arouses interest in knowing in detail each of the origin stories individually:
- The Multi Monster: can turn her limbs into different monsters
- The Tripper: can move anywhere in seconds, it is a human GPS.
- Crab Louie: Possesses superhuman powers derived from crabs thanks to a failed experiment.
- Kid Curious: a genius who apparently doesn't age.
- Persona: You can access different abilities from your past lives to solve crimes.
They all have traumatic memories of this Mirror Dimension, where reality was different, returning after five years has traumatized them by getting a different world, where their abilities are not as amazing or necessary.
Multimonster and Tripper are alerted by The Searcher that something from The Ledge has entered our world, even though these survivors were sure they had closed that portal. That same night Mary receives a visit from The Divider, whose power is to divide and each division has its own consciousness and apparently cannot bear the pain that The Ledge left her.
Mary and Tripper go with Divider and discover that something evil and addictive is on the streets and using some of The Ledge's energy.
Oswalt Blum and Seeley have a deep and clear knowledge of the comic book mythology of ensemble superheroes from all the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Modern eras, so they deconstruct it to add realism, mysteries and a raw current social crisis.
With Minor Threats they gave a twist and deep existential meaning to the villains, now they do the same with the selfless forgotten superheroes.
ART
It is an art with layers of textures that provide different tones for different sequences, where body language enhances the dialogues and elevates the plot.
