What does it come from?
The manipulative Mr. X-Ray wants OUT of Hyde Street, pronto. The closer he gets to snatching 10,000 souls, the nearer his freedom. And he wants to up the count in a big way: by capturing an entire theater full of poor saps who have found their way onto Hyde Street. But will one good soul ruin it all?

Plot
Miss Goodbody is visited at her shop by Pranky, who forces her to tell him why Mr. X-ray visited her. Aside from eliminating a visitor, she has collected 9,998 souls for Scorekeeper and Pranky closed her shop. She cannot leave because if she does, her body will change. Pranky punished her for allying herself with Mr. X-ray.

Meanwhile, Mr. X-ray continues to look for new allies among the "residents" to eliminate Pranky, but none of them want to help him. Aside from mentioning Matinee Monster, they introduce a series of depraved "residents" such as Doctor Ego, Sister Hood, The Demon Within, Raquel Vane, and Green Blood. We will surely get to know all of them in depth later.

The Matinee Monster

Dr. Ego

Sister Hood

The Demon Within

Raquel Vane

The Rookies

Mr. X-ray needs Pranky to leave Hyde Street because he already has more souls than Scorekeeper requires to escape, but Pranky doesn't want to leave. He enjoys this perverse sport, which prevents all the residents from reaching their goal of leaving souls, especially Mr. X-ray.

While Pranky was distracted by Miss Goodbody, Mr. X-ray managed to trap a bus full of despicable people, and Mr. X-ray manages to collect a massive amount of their souls. A shocking account of how a group of people react in a psychotic way.

Mr. X-ray wants to leave Hyde Street to return to his daughter, and Pranky is delaying everything. Mr. X-ray only has 2,175 souls.

Hyde Street continues to introduce new and chilling characters connected by painful tragedies in their lives, with whom we can relate, and with twisted and very real stories. There's a deep psychological analysis running throughout the series, when all these characters are constantly desperately searching for redemption and paying the a high price for their own selfish desires.

Art
It offers a retro aesthetic and the same gloomy effect as 1980s supernatural horror and slasher films. It's detailed and achieves stunning facial expressions.

Summary
Mr. X-ray needs to get rid of Pranky in order to escape Hyde Street, but what's sparking is a war between residents seeking to collect souls for Scorekeeper
