Stephen Wacker, editor en jefe de Marvel Comics, acaba de subir al escenario de la New York Comic Con para presentar su primer panel "Bullpen Bulletins!" y aprovechó el momento para revelar qué le depara el futuro a una de las mayores heroínas de Marvel —y una de sus favoritas personales—: ¡Capitana Marvel! Este mes de mayo, la icónica heroína protagonizará una nueva serie regular escrita por la galardonada guionista G. Willow Wilson (*Ms. Marvel*, *Black Cat*) y dibujada por la aclamada artista Rachael Stott (*Fantastic Four*).
La serie surge a raíz de la próxima etapa de Avengers a cargo de Chip Zdarsky y Marco Checchetto. Tras los acontecimientos catastróficos de Avengers: Armageddon, Carol Danvers se encuentra en tierra firme, incapaz de volar como solía hacerlo. Para volver a elevarse, Carol tendrá que cuestionar todo lo que creía saber sobre ser Capitana Marvel y, por el camino, romper todas las reglas. Mientras ella se esfuerza al máximo, una amenaza que se ha estado gestando silenciosamente en las sombras del Universo Marvel durante décadas está finalmente lista para pasar a la acción.

Just announced at New York Comic Con, CAPTAIN MARVEL, a new ongoing series by G. Willow Wilson and Rachael Stott, launches in May.
New York, NY— October 9, 2026 — Marvel Comics’ Editor-in-Chief Stephen Wacker just took the stage at New York Comic Con to host his first-ever Bullpen Bulletins! panel and seized the moment to reveal what’s next for one of Marvel’s greatest heroes—and one of his personal favorites: CAPTAIN MARVEL! This May, the iconic hero headlines an all-new ongoing series in May by award-winning writer G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel, Black Cat) and acclaimed artist Rachael Stott (Fantastic Four).
The series spins out of the upcoming Avengers run by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto. Following the cataclysmic events of Avengers: Armageddon, Carol Danvers finds herself grounded like never before. To rise again, Carol will have to challenge everything she thought she knew about being Captain Marvel—and break every rule along the way. And as she pushes herself further, a threat that has been quietly assembling in the shadows of the Marvel Universe for decades is finally ready to make its move.
No stranger to the character following her groundbreaking work on Ms. Marvel, Wilson expressed her excitement at returning to this corner of the Marvel Universe in a video message: “I’m so excited to be returning to these characters who I love so much, these readers who I love so much, and to be taking Carol on her next big adventure. I can’t wait to get started and for fans to see what we have in store for Carol and all her friends. So chin up, put your boots on. We’re going back up!”
