Dos grandes del cómic unirán fuerzas para una nueva historia de los Cuatro Fantásticos! La leyenda de la industria Neal Adams y el escritor ganador del Eisner, Mark Waid, traen FANTASTIC FOUR: ANTITHESIS, un mega evento de Marvel con la alineación favorita de los fanáticos de los Fantastic Four, así como un nuevo villano que sacudirá el Universo Marvel. Si bien Mark Waid ya había trabajado con la primera familia de superhéroes de Marvel en el año 2002, FANTASTIC FOUR: ANTITESIS, será la primera historia completa de los Cuatro Fantásticos ilustrada por Neal Adams.
¿De qué viene?
En FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS #1 luego de ganar una batalla contra Annihilus, de repente un meteoro imparable está por estrellarse en Nueva York, los Cuatro Fantásticos usan sus poderes combinados para detener este objeto..para descubrir que era Silver Surfer gravemente herido que les dice que Galactus está muerto.
¿Qué sucede?
Los Cuatro Fantásticos llevan a Silver Surfer al laboratorio de Reed Richards en el Baxter Building, para curarlo y que les explique lo que sucede.
Silver Surfer estaba dirigiendo a Galactus a su próximo festín de planetas inhabitados cuando de repente se abre un portal a la Zona Negativa y surge un ser descomunal, gigante cuyos poderes cósmicos parecen no tener comparación y absorbe a Galactus convirtiéndolo en su forma humana llamada Galan y lo envía a la Zona Negativa.
Lo primero que se nos puede ocurrir es que Galactus vencido no es una mala noticia (como lo comenta la Mole), el problema es que esta Antítesis de Galactus, tiene por objetivo poseer la mente y energía vital de los habitantes de planetas para convertirlos en su ejército y la tierra es su próximo objetivo.
La mejor estrategia que piensa Reed es rescatar a Galan en la Zona Negativa y aprovechar de su sabiduría para ver cómo enfrentar a la Antítesis.
Esta segunda entrega muestra que la amenaza a la que se enfrentan es de gran escala, que puede significar el final de todas las civilizaciones de la galaxia.
Arte y Trama
Mark Waid y Neal Adams crean una atmósfera ligera e interesante que hace que esta historia sea clásica y fresca a la vez, cada página te hace saltar con desespero a la siguiente. El cómic se separa de la extensa continuidad de historia de los Cuatro Fantásticos en algunos aspectos pero en otros la mantiene, generando así un magnifico nuevo punto de partida.
Resumen
El enemigo al que se enfrentan los Cuatro Fantásticos y Silver Surfer es sumamente letal con un plan de colonizar toda la Galaxia.

Where does it come from?
In FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS # 1 after winning a battle against Annihilus, suddenly an unstoppable meteor is about to crash in New York, the Fantastic Four use their combined powers to stop this object ... to discover that it was the seriously injured Silver Surfer that says Galactus is dead.
What's going on?
The Fantastic Four take Silver Surfer to Reed Richards' laboratory in the Baxter Building, to heal him and to understand what happens.
The Silver Surfer was directing Galactus to his next feast of uninhabited planets when suddenly a portal to the Negative Zone opens and a hulking, giant being emerges whose cosmic powers seem unmatched and absorbs Galactus into his human form called Galan and sends it to the Negative Zone.
The first thing that can occur to us is that Galactus defeated is not bad news (as the Thing comments), the problem is that this Antithesis of Galactus, aims to possess the mind and vital energy of the inhabitants of planets to turn them into his army and The Earth is his next target.
The best strategy Reed thinks of is to rescue Galan in the Negative Zone and take advantage of his wisdom to know how to face the Antithesis.
This second installment shows that the threat they face is large-scale, which may be the end of all civilizations in the galaxy.
Art and Plot
Mark Waid and Neal Adams create a light and interesting atmosphere that makes this story classic and fresh at the same time, each page makes you jump desperately to the next. The comic breaks away from the extensive Fantastic Four story continuity in some respects but maintains it in others, thus creating a magnificent new starting point.
Summary
The enemy faced by the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer is extremely deadly with a plan to colonize the entire Galaxy.
