¡El escudo ha sido robado! Nadie entiende el valor del escudo como quienes lo han empuñado, por lo que Steve Rogers y Sam Wilson emprenden un viaje por Estados Unidos para perseguir al ladrón.
Pero en cambio, encuentran a los Capitanes, gente común de todos los ámbitos de la vida que han tomado el manto del Capitán América para defender sus comunidades. Y por alguna razón, el ladrón de escudos los quiere a todos muertos. ¿Pueden Sam y Steve llegar a ellos primero?

Trama
Steve, Falcon, Bucky y John Walker obtienen información de Sinthea Smith y logran liberar a Speed Demon del control de HATE MONGER y la Comandante Krieger y tienen una pista que los puede llevar a una trampa.
Pero Captains Network, todos aquellos héroes que se inspiraron por el símbolo de Cap y ayudan a todas las diferentes comunidades a las que forman parte, están listos para unirse por primera vez y ayudar a limpiar el legado de Capitán América.

Where does it come from?
The shield has been stolen! No one understands the value of the shield like those who've wielded it, so Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson set out on a road trip across America to chase down the thief.
But instead, they find the Captains, everyday people from all walks of life who've taken up the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities. And for some reason, the shield thief wants them all dead. Can Sam and Steve get to them first?
Christopher Cantwell and Dale Eaglesham lead a can't-miss miniseries to celebrate Captain America's 80th Anniversary, joined by a rotating series of creative teams to tell the stories of each new Captain.
Plot
Steve, Falcon, Bucky and John Walker obtain information from Sinthea Smith and manage to free Speed Demon from the control of HATE MONGER and Commander Krieger, and have a clue that may lead them to a trap.
But Captains Network, all those heroes who were inspired by the Cap symbol and help all of the different communities they are a part of, are ready to join for the first time and help clean up Captain America's legacy.
This story closes with several messages about the power of hatred over reason.
