En un futuro no muy lejano, la humanidad ya no verá el mundo como realmente es. La invención de los filtros neurológicos ha hecho que uno pueda ver la realidad como quiera: monocromo del viejo Hollywood, apocalipsis zombie, anime. . . Las posibilidades son infinitas. Neo-shamus Sam Dunes es uno de los pocos que eligen vivir sin filtro. Cuando la muerte de un antiguo amor revela un juego sucio, Dunes se embarca en un misterio salvaje y retorcido que lo llevará del inframundo mortal de la ciudad a las alturas aún más letales de la riqueza y el poder.

TRAMA

Sam Dunes es un detective en San Francisco en el año 2052, que no usa la tecnología común de VEILS o Velos, donde la gente usa filtros que los hace ver que viven en su mundo pero viendo diferentes cosas, algunos viven en eras del asado, otros en el futuro, lo que ocurre en realidad es que nadie quiere ver la realidad, quieren ver algo que les agrade.

Sam no usa esa tecnología, está en plena investigación del marido de la Sra Madders que usa los BLACK VEILS, que son velos que usan para ver otra vida. Cuando perseguia a su caso, le avisan que su exesposa Kendra cometió suicidio...pero un reloj que ella le manda le da una pista de lo que ocurrio.  La Sra Madders tiene cumple con ser la femme fatale.

Sam consigue con una pista que lo lleva a un lugar peligroso y al inframundo de los que usan Black Veils.

Este cómic mezcla el género de detectives noir con cyberpunk, con una narrativa vertiginosa.

ARTE

Está lleno de colores en las secuencias tecnológicas para balancearme con secuencias oscuras tipo Noir.

When the death of an old flame reveals foul play, Dunes is set on a wild and twisting mystery that will take him from the city's deadly underworld to the even deadlier heights of wealth and power.

PLOT

Sam Dunes is a detective in San Francisco in the year 2052, which does not use the common technology of VEILS or Velos, where people use filters that make them see that they live in their world but seeing different things, some live in roast times, others in the future, what actually happens is that nobody wants to see reality, they want to see something that they like.

Sam does not use that technology, he is in full investigation of Mrs. Madders' husband who uses the BLACK VEILS, which are veils that they use to see another life. When he was pursuing his case, they tell him that his ex-wife Kendra committed suicide... but a watch that she sends him gives him a clue as to what happened. Mrs. Madders has met with being the femme fatale.

Sam comes up with a clue that leads him to a dangerous place and the underworld of those who use Black Veils.

This comic mixes the noir detective genre with cyberpunk, with a dizzying narrative.

ART

It is full of colors in the technological sequences to balance me with dark Noir-like sequences.

Summary

Sam Dunes faces the most dangerous case of his career as his sanity and concentration are shaken by the loss of Kendra.
