Sinopsis:
En este número: Las barreras entre los reinos se han abierto, los dioses han descendido sobre Hyboria y Kulan Gath camina por la Tierra una vez más. ¿Quién de ellos tomará el poder supremo y mantendrá a los mortales bajo su esclavitud? Ninguno, ¡siempre y cuando Red Sonja tenga voz y voto!
Red Sonja #8, escrita en antiguas runas de TORUNN GRONBEKK y tallada en pergamino sagrado por WALTER GEOVANI, llega vestida con la mejor lluvia, exquisitamente confeccionada por LUCIO PARILLO, BJORN BARENDS, JOSEPH MICHAEL LINSNER, FRANCESCO FRANCAVILLA y RACHEL HOLLON.
Trama
Red Sonja y Grace logran llegar a la casa de la Tia de Grace, una poderosa hechicera pero no sin antes enfrentarse a unos seres infernales creados de las obras, pero la Tía de Grace tiene algo que decirle a ambas, que hay un mal terrible que regresó de la muerte, Sonja lo conoce...se llama Kulan Gath.
En el reino de NORDAL, hay una conmoción porque su hechicero Dorian Runebinder siente la presencia de Gath, pero es muy tarde, Kulan Gath es más cruel que nunca, totalmente desinteresado en la vida humana, es un monstruo que se está alimentando de otros hechiceros.
La presencia de Gath está conmocionando el mundo mágico, tanto así que despertó al temible Ymir, gigante que va a desatar su ira como cazador.
En este cómic ocurren muchas cosas importantes que definen la dirección de este arco argumental con potencia, creando una atmósfera de tensión dentro de elementos mitológicos y de fantasía que Torunn presenta con suma claridad.
Arte
Posee texturas que le brinda a los detalles un toque retro/vintage que resalta el dinamismo interesante y una paleta de colores calidas hacia el rojo y amarillo que le da un tono dinamico. Las secuencias de peleas son impresionantes con unas páginas splash que balancean la sensualidad de Red Sonja con la velocidad letal de su espada.

Synopsis:
Plot

Set down in ancient runes by TORUNN GRONBEKK and carved upon sacred parchment by WALTER GEOVANI, Red Sonja #8 arrives clad in the finest of rainments, exquisitely tailored by LUCIO PARILLO, BJORN BARENDS, JOSEPH MICHAEL LINSNER, FRANCESCO FRANCAVILLA, and RACHEL HOLLON!
Red Sonja and Grace manage to reach the house of Grace's Aunt, a powerful sorceress, but not before facing some infernal beings created from the works, but Grace's Aunt has something to tell them both, that there is a terrible evil that He came back from the dead, Sonja knows him...his name is Kulan Gath.
In the kingdom of NORDAL, there is a commotion because its sorcerer Dorian Runebinder senses the presence of Gath, but it is too late, Kulan Gath is more cruel than ever, totally uninterested in human life, he is a monster that is feeding on other sorcerers.
Gath's presence is shocking the magical world, so much so that he awakened the fearsome Ymir, a giant who will unleash his wrath as a hunter.
Many important things happen in this comic that define the direction of this story arc with power, creating an atmosphere of tension within mythological and fantasy elements that Torunn presents with great clarity.
Art
It has textures that give the details a retro/vintage touch that highlights the interesting dynamism and a warm color palette towards red and yellow that gives it a dynamic tone. The fight sequences are impressive with splash pages that balance the sensuality of Red Sonja with the lethal speed of her sword.
