¿De Que viene?
El autor número uno del New York Times, Neil Gaiman, y la leyenda de los cómics ganador del premio Eisner, P. Craig Russell, dan nueva vida a las antiguas historias nórdicas al llevar a los lectores a través de la creación de los Nueve Mundos al origen épico y las aventuras de Thor, Odin y Loki hasta el final de la vida: Ragnarok.
Habiendo escrito anteriormente sobre deidades en American Gods y The Sandman, Gaiman se une a Russell para finalmente llevar a los lectores a seguir a los dioses del norte en su propio entorno en esta adaptación de cómic de la exitosa novela.

¿Qué sucede?
Loki deja calva Sif la esposa de Thor, el Dios del trueno lo amenaza que si no le devuelve el cabello dorado perfecto, le rompería todos los huesos del cuerpo.
Loki inventa una competencia para para ver quién logra hacer los mejores regalos a Odin y Thor, habla con los enanos, los hermanos Ivaldi quienes aceptan el reto pero cuando habla con los hermanos Brokk y Eitri, Brokk acepta pero si gana la competencia como premio le cortará la cabeza a Loki.
Loki acepta la propuesta mortal de Brokk para que la competencia produjeran un resultado, pero se transformó en un mosquito molesto que torturó y picó a Brokk cuando mantenía las brasas encendidas, sin embargo Brokk soportó y Eitri logro hacer tres regalos.
Finalmente llega el día de revelar los regalos, Loki revela los de los hermanos Ivaldi, que era una lanza llamada Gungnir que nunca falla su objeto y es indestructible, un barco llamado Skidbladnir que se transforma en una pequeña bufanda y el nuevo y hermoso cabello de Sif. Loki ya se sentía vencedor.
Brokk revela sus tres regalos, primero un jabalí de oro capaz de volar y jalar cualquier carreta, un anillo de oro que multiplica sus riquezas llamado a Draupnir y un martillo...llamado Mjölnir capaz de convocar truenos, que cambia de tamaño que permite volar y se devuelve a su portador, Thor lo toma y asegura que es el mejor regalo y le da la victoria a Brokk y Eitri.
Loki intenta escapar pero su cabeza pertenece a Brokk pero Odin no puedo permitir esto y le ofrece a Brokk otra opción, este le cose la boca a Loki.
Asgard al final recibió los mejores regalos gracias a las mentiras de Loki.

Esta colección es un deleite visual con historias que datan de siglos atrás, gracias a Neil Gaiman pudo recopilarlas y narrarlas de esta manera magnifica.

What's going on?
Loki remove all the beautiful hair of Sif, the wife of Thor, the God of thunder threatens Loki that if he does not return the perfect golden hair, he would break all the bones of his body.
Loki invents a competition to see who manages to give the best gifts to Odin and Thor, he talks to the dwarves, the Ivaldi brothers who accept the challenge but when he talks to the brothers Brokk and Eitri, Brokk accepts but if he wins the competition as a prize he will cut off Loki's head.
Loki accepts Brokk's deadly proposal for the competition to produce a result, but he transformed into an annoying mosquito that tortured and bite Brokk when he kept the embers burning, however Brokk endured and Eitri managed to make three gifts.
Finally the day comes to reveal the gifts, Loki reveals those of the Ivaldi brothers, which was a spear called Gungnir that never fails its object and is indestructible, a ship called Skidbladnir that transforms into a small scarf and the new and beautiful hair of Sif. Loki already felt victorious.
Brokk reveals his three gifts, first a golden boar capable of flying and pulling any cart, a gold ring that multiplies the riches called Draupnir and a hammer ... called Mjölnir capable of summoning thunders, which changes in size that allows flying, and it is returned to its bearer, Thor takes it and assures that it is the best gift and gives victory to Brokk and Eitri.
Loki tries to escape but his head belongs to Brokk, Odin cannot allow this and offers Brokk another option, he sews Loki's mouth.
Asgard in the end received the best gifts thanks to Loki's lies.
Summary
This second installment tells us how Asgard receives the best gifts they have ever had.
This collection is a visual delight with stories dating back centuries, thanks to Neil Gaiman he was able to collect and narrate them in this magnificent way.
