Ghost Machine Productions lanza HYDE STREET, una nueva y épica serie de cómics que inaugura el universo de terror de Ghost Machine, de los creadores legendarios Geoff Johns e Ivan Reis, cuya larga colaboración produjo títulos icónicos Blackest Night: Green Lantern y Aquaman.

¿De qué viene?

Una compañera de hermandad ha muerto. Sophie, con el espíritu de Violet aún atrapado en su cuerpo, estaba presente cuando ocurrió... pero ¿cómo es que no recuerda nada? Puede que la policía la haya perdonado, pero cuando la secuestran de su dormitorio con una bolsa en la cabeza, descubre que la hermandad no es tan indulgente como la policía...

Trama

Violet le explica a Sophie que lo de Penélope fue un accidente, que ella se cayó sin querer, la policía y la misma Sophie creen esto.

A pesar de esta segunda tragedia SIGMA IOTA sigue con su reclutamiento y secuestran a Sophie y a otras novatas para jurar dentro de una jaula su lealtad, el ritual termina y ahora Sophie forma parte de esta sororidad.

Pero en el viaje de regreso en el carro, Violet toma el control y ataca a todas las muchase del carro y el carro pierde el control, Sophie reacciona y salta, es cuando descubre que Violet ha usado su cuerpo para asesinar, ambas discuten y cuando llega la policía, Violet de nuevo toma el control y hace quedar a Sophie como una asesina.

Violet se está aprovechando de la culpa que tiene Sophie por no haberla acompañado en sus últimos días.

Interesante historia de apoyo a la saga de Hyde Street donde conoceremos a una residente de este lugar que se encarga de cobrar almas, la malvada Sisterhood.

Arte 

Es detallado y mediante secuencias hipnotizantes y páginas splash espeluznantes, que a su vez son  apoyadas por un tono lúgubre, logran erizar la piel más de una vez. El arte ofrece una excelente definición de las anatomías que te permite fácilmente hacer comparaciones.

Resumen

Sophie muy tarde descubre la verdadera agenda de venganza de Violet

What does it come from?

A sorority sister is dead. Sophie, with Violet’s spirit still trapped in her body, was right there when it happened…but how is it that she doesn’t remember a thing? The police may let Sophie off easy, but when she’s snatched from her dorm with a bag over her head, she finds the sorority isn’t as lenient as the cops…

Plot

Violet explains to Sophie that Penelope's case was an accident, that she accidentally fell. The police and Sophie herself believe this.

Despite this second tragedy, SIGMA IOTA continues its recruitment and kidnaps Sophie and other newcomers to swear their loyalty inside a cage. The ritual ends, and Sophie is now part of the sorority.

But on the return trip in the car, Violet takes control and attacks all the girls in the car, causing the car to spin out of control. Sophie reacts and jumps out. This is when she discovers Violet has used her body to murder her. The two argue, and when the police arrive, Violet once again takes control and makes Sophie look like a murderer.

Violet is taking advantage of Sophie's guilt for not being with her in her final days.

An interesting supporting story for the Hyde Street saga, where we meet a resident of this place who is in charge of collecting souls, the evil Sisterhood.

Art

It's detailed, and through mesmerizing sequences and eerie splash pages, supported by a gloomy tone, it manages to raise the hair on your neck more than once. The art offers excellent anatomy definition, allowing for easy comparisons.

Summary

Sophie too late discovers Violet's true agenda of revenge.
