Trama
En 1961 en la costa de África, luego de cinco meses de los eventos de GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY, fue el lugar donde la isla 227 llamada WINDOW explotó debido a un portal dimensional que funciona con el elemento desconocido ENKELADITE, expulsando al Robot Gigante Hellboy hacia la profundidades del océano, pero todavía queda abierto parte de este portal, que lo llaman KIRKLAND SIMS HOLE.
GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY fue activado al tener una conexión psíquica con Hellboy, pero cuando esta unión mental se separó, parte de la psique de Hellboy quedó en el disco duro del robot y ahora este tiene conciencia propia.
Una expedición con uno de los sobrevivientes de la Isla WINDOW, llevan un equipo ANTI-ENKELADITE, que al explotar lanza la radiación necesaria para cerrar este portal, en este lugar son atacados por una especie de alga que transporta a uno de los integrantes del equipo con su traje de buzo anti radiación en un monstruo gigante hecho de algas, en ese momento reaparece GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY y con su brazo desprendido lo usa como arma y empiezan a luchar.
Pero la tripulación activa la bomba y son absorbidos por el portal y este se cierra, GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY no logra entrar al portal a salvarlos.
Mignola continúa con esta brillante y atrevida aventura de Hellboy que mezcla los Kaijus con Mechas en este mundo de ocultismo, magia y tecnología luchando.

Plot
In 1961, off the coast of Africa, five months after the events of GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY, Island 227, called WINDOW, exploded due to a dimensional portal powered by the unknown element ENKELADITE. This blast ejected the Giant Robot Hellboy into the depths of the ocean, but part of this portal remains open, known as the KIRKLAND SIMS HOLE.
GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY was activated by a psychic connection with Hellboy, but when this mental link severed, part of Hellboy's psyche remained on the robot's hard drive, and now it possesses its own consciousness.
An expedition, led by one of the survivors of Window Island, carries an Anti-Enkeladite device. When it explodes, it releases the radiation needed to close the portal. There, they are attacked by a type of algae that transports one of the team members, still in his radiation suit, inside a giant algae monster. At that moment, Giant Robot Hellboy reappears, using his severed arm as a weapon, and the fight begins.
But the crew activates the bomb and is pulled into the portal, which then closes. Giant Robot Hellboy is unable to enter the portal to save them.
Mignola continues this brilliant and daring Hellboy adventure, blending Kaiju with Mechs in a world of occultism, magic, and technology.
