This comic includes the same order of the stories of the book, whose original plot is by Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell was in charge of adapting the story into a comic script.
The three stories are:
YGGDRASIL AND THE NINE WORLDS, art by P. Craig Russell with colors by Lovern Kindzierski.
This first story describes what the Tree of Life or Yggdrasil is, how many worlds unites, the description of each one according to its inhabitants, how they connect with each other. Define the Norse geography of their deities. The explanation is concise and easy to understand with the magnificent images that support them. Russell offers an accurate view of these gods and inhabitants of the nine worlds.

MIMIR'S HEAD AND ODIN'S EYE, art by Mike Mignola and colors by Dave Stewart
The second story tells how Odin in his youth sacrifices part of his senses to obtain the wisdom of the well of Mimir. Mignola's art brings the mystery and suspense to this story that has terrifying moments.

THE TREASURES OF THE GODS, art by Jerry Ordway with colors by Lovern Kindzierski.
The closing story of this first issue, counts how practical joke from Loki to Thor, put's him between a rock and a hard place, so Loki decides to create a rivalry between Dwarfs to save himself, it is a great story because it shows the rivalry between these brothers . The story continues in the next comic (issue 32). Jerry Ordway shows that he wields his immense artistic abilities, with art better than ever.
