Artists, Writers & Artisans es la nueva editorial de cómics impulsada por Axel Alonso (Ex Editor en Jefe de Marvel Comics) y Bill Jemas (Ex Vice Presidente de Marvel Comics), quienes fungen como CCO y Editor respectivamente, con equipos creativos legendarios con el objetivo de hacer los mejores cómics posible sin limitaciones creativas donde los derechos intelectuales son de sus creadores.
¿De qué viene?
Durante dos generaciones, la ciudad rural de Grendel, Kentucky, ha honrado su trato con el monstruo que vive en su mina de carbón abandonada: un sacrificio humano cada temporada a cambio de la prosperidad agraria, como nunca antes había visto esta región rocosa (incluyendo su mayor cultivo comercial: la hierba más húmeda de la tierra). Cuando un anciano de la ciudad rompe este pacto, la única esperanza de Grendel es que su hija pródiga regrese a casa para enfrentarse a la criatura de sus pesadillas y venga acompañada de su pandilla de motociclistas mujeres.
¿Qué sucede?
Denny, Marnei y el jefe de policía Mike investigan lo que sucedió a su padre en esta misteriosa cueva, Marnei no puede entrar a investigar porque algo le pasó con ese lugar y tiene fobia. Es cueva está abandonada.
En este pueblo es normal reunirse en un establo para compartir, comer, pero algo los espera afuera de este lugar, algo indescriptible.
Este cómic muestra un trauma infantil que tuvo Marnei que le hicieron olvidar asegurando que era mentira, el mayor miedo de Marnie existe y está suelto.
Sin mucho preámbulo esta entrega muestra lo que asesinó a Clyde y esta por acabar con la población de este pueblo, el panel que muestra a este ser les dejará la piel de gallina.
Arte y trama
Jeff McComsey y Tommy Lee Edwards crearon la atmósfera de misterio, suspenso, terror y realidad perfecta con ciertos toques del Horror Folk, es un cómic que se disfruta de esquina a esquina de cada página.
Resumen
Danny y Marnei ya saben a lo que se enfrentan, no están preparados y se les acaba el tiempo, el miedo más grande de Marnei si existe.

What's it coming from?
For two generations, the rural hill town of Grendel, Kentucky has honored its Faustian bargain with the monster living in its abandoned coal mine: a human sacrifice every season in return for agrarian prosperity the likes of which this rocky region had never before seen (including its greatest cash crop: the dankest weed in the land). When one town elder breaks this pact, Grendel’s only hope is that its prodigal daughter will return home to face down the creature of her nightmares—and bring her all-female biker gang with her.
In Grendel, Kentucky # 1 the brothers Denny and Marnei are working together to find out what happened to their father, Clyde.
Denny, Marnei and Police Chief Mike investigate what happened to Clyde in this mysterious cave, Marnei cannot enter to investigate because something happened to her in that place and she has a phobia. The cave is abandoned.
In this town it is normal to meet in a barn to share, eat, but something awaits them outside this place, something indescribable.
This comic shows a childhood trauma that Marnei had and their parents made her think it was false, Marnie's greatest fear exists and is loose.
Without much preamble, this installment shows what killed Clyde and is about to end the population of this town, the panel that shows this being will give you goose bumps.
Art and plot.
Jeff McComsey and Tommy Lee Edwards created the atmosphere of mystery, suspense, terror and perfect reality with certain touches of Horror Folk, it is a comic that is enjoyed from corner to corner of each page.
Summary
Danny and Marnei already know what they are facing, they are not prepared and their time is running out, Marnei's greatest fear exists.
