A principios de este año, Marvel Comics colaboró con Tsuburaya Productions para lanzar THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN, una emocionante serie de cómics que presentó el ícono de la cultura pop a nuevos fanáticos y deleitó a los entusiastas de Ultraman desde hace mucho tiempo. Tras este altísimo debut, la saga Ultraman continuará este marzo en THE TRIALS OF ULTRAMAN con el equipo de estrellas detrás de THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN, los escritores Kyle Higgins y Mat Groom y el artista Francesco Manna.
THE TRIALS OF ULTRAMAN continua después de la épica conclusión de THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN. Ultraman evitó por poco una catástrofe, el mundo se salvó, pero también cambió para siempre. Ahora ... vienen las consecuencias. Gran parte de la población mira a sus defensores con sospecha e incluso los más cercanos a Shin Hayata no necesariamente confían en el Gigante de la Luz. New York, NY— December 21, 2020 — Earlier this year, Marvel Comics collaborated with Tsuburaya Productions to bring readers THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN, a thrilling comic series that introduced the pop culture icon to new fans and delighted longtime Ultraman enthusiasts. Following this soaring debut, the Ultraman saga will continue this March in THE TRIALS OF ULTRAMAN. The all-star team behind THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN, writers Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom and artist Francesco Manna, return to continue to explore the fascinating Ultraman mythos.
The new installment will pick up after the epic conclusion of THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN. Ultraman narrowly averted a catastrophe decades in the making. The world was saved – but, also, forever changed. Now…come the consequences. Much of the populace regard their defenders with suspicion. Enemies hide in plain sight, and even those closest to Shin Hayata don’t necessarily trust the Giant of Light. But at last, a long-thought-lost comrade has mysteriously returned! The RISE is over. The training wheels are off, and the stakes have never been higher. THE TRIALS OF ULTRAMAN begin here!
Here’s what Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom had to say about Ultraman’s next chapter:
“In THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN, we had to create a whole new universe (built on the powerful concepts and characters of the original television shows). Then, in the final issue of RISE, we turned that world upside down.
“Now, in THE TRIALS OF ULTRAMAN, we get to really explore this new universe– the consequences of decisions made in RISE, and the possibilities (as well as tensions) of a newly-fantastical global community. The introduction is over… now, we’ll be diving into the real meat of our Ultraman saga. And the stakes and scale will only continue to grow.
