Editor respectivamente, con equipos creativos legendarios con el objetivo de
hacer los mejores cómics posible sin limitaciones creativas donde los
derechos intelectuales son de sus creadores.
¿De qué viene?
Durante dos generaciones, la ciudad rural de Grendel, Kentucky, ha honrado su trato con el monstruo que vive en su mina de carbón abandonada: un sacrificio humano cada temporada a cambio de la prosperidad agraria, como nunca antes había visto esta región rocosa (incluyendo su mayor cultivo comercial: la hierba más húmeda de la tierra). Cuando un anciano de la ciudad rompe este pacto, la única esperanza de Grendel es que su hija pródiga regrese a casa para enfrentarse a la criatura de sus pesadillas y venga acompañada de su pandilla de motociclistas mujeres.
En Grendel, Kentucky #3 Denny y Marnei organizan un ejercito formado por casi todo el pueblo y el grupo de motociclistas de Marnei con el fin de cazar y acabar con este monstruo, y lo logran, todos celebran la victoria, descansan y embriagan, sin esperar que otro ataque de este ser que acaba con todos, incluso con Denny.
Capítulo final.
¿Qué sucede?
Marnei despierta de la resaca cuando descubre que todos están muertos, solo sobrevive ella y el comisario, algo raro esta pasando, aparte que todos los sembradíos se están marchitando, el monstruo sigue vivo.
Marnei busca a su abuelo para preguntarle sobre detalles muy tristes de su pasado que involucra a su verdadero padre y lo que hizo Clyde, esta revelación es muy dura.
Marnei llega a la conclusión que hay mas de uno de estos monstruos y que ella lo va a eliminar. El cierre de este cómic es inesperado, la ultima pagina los dejara anonadados.
Arte y trama
El cierre de esta historia es impactante así como la revelación que explica la actitud de Marnei ante la vida, Jeff McComsey logra sorprender y enganchar con una historia con la cual es fácil identificarse quitando claro esta toda la fantasía. El arte de Tommy Lee Edwards es el mejor de toda la saga, destaca el dolor y la ira con sus trazados únicos.

What's it coming from?
For two generations, the rural hill town of Grendel, Kentucky has honored its Faustian bargain with the monster living in its abandoned coal mine: a human sacrifice every season in return for agrarian prosperity the likes of which this rocky region had never before seen (including its greatest cash crop: the dankest weed in the land). When one town elder breaks this pact, Grendel’s only hope is that its prodigal daughter will return home to face down the creature of her nightmares—and bring her all-female biker gang with her.
In Grendel, Kentucky # 3 Denny and Marnei organize an army made up of almost the entire town and the group of Marnei's motorcycle riders in order to hunt down and kill this monster, and they succeed, everyone celebrates victory, rest and get drunk, without expect another attack from this being that kills everyone, even Denny.
Final chapter.
What's going on?
Marnei wakes up from the hangover when she discovers that everyone is dead, only she and the commissioner survive, something strange is happening, apart from that all the crops are withering, the monster is still alive.
Marnei looks to her grandfather to ask about very sad details of her past involving her real father and what Clyde did, this revelation is very harsh.
Marnei comes to the conclusion that there is more than one of these monsters and that she is going to eliminate it. The closing of this comic is unexpected, the last page will leave you stunned.
Art and plot
The closing of this story is shocking as well as the revelation that explains Marnei's attitude towards life, Jeff McComsey manages to surprise and hook with a story with which it is easy to identify, clearing all the fantasy. Tommy Lee Edwards' art is the best of the entire saga, highlighting pain and anger with the unique tracings of him.

Marnei finishes understanding her past and prepares to move on but she will finish with all this madness
