Trama
Basada en hechos reales, este comic reimagina la investigación de los sucesos de SLEEP LAGOON MURDER, donde el racismo hacia los latinos mezclado con abuso de poder, generó una serie de injusticias.
Esta historia ocurre en 1943, cuando EE.UU tenía como principal prioridad la guerra, por lo que muchas injusticias sociales fueron opacadas y escondidas.
En esa época la palabra peyorativa "Pachuco" se refería a aquellos Mexicanos residentes en Texas que vestían ropa trajes con espalda anchas y ajustado e las piernas, con sombreros con plumas, era un movimiento contracultural que mezcla influenciada por jazz, swing y raices latinas, que fue duramente atacado por otros sectores de la sociedad.
La historia es narrada en el formato Noir de detectives, donde el detective Ricardo Tellez, un "pachuco" debe superar los obstáculos raciales y dar con la verdad.
Esta novela gráfica tiene un importante valor cultural e historico, ya que toca temas muy relevantes actualmente.
Incluye el libro THE SLEEP LAGOON CASE que tiene prefacio del gran cineasta Orson Welles.
Arte
Es orgánico con muchas texturas y trazos que le otorgan una sensación de un arte ingenuo.

At that time, the derogatory term "Pachuco" referred to Mexicans living in Texas who wore suits with wide shoulders and tight legs, along with feathered hats. It was a countercultural movement, a blend of jazz, swing, and Latin roots, that was harshly criticized by other sectors of society.
The story is told in the noir detective format, where Detective Ricardo Tellez, a "Pachuco," must overcome racial obstacles to uncover the truth.
This graphic novel has significant cultural and historical value, as it addresses issues that are highly relevant today.
