Este comic comienza con Thundarr siendo rehén de un grupo de mutantes que lo compraron como esclavo, en este futuro distopico, donde los humanos están casi extintos y otros seres quieren gobernar lo que queda de civiizacion.
Los mutantes Groundlings, que son una especie de roedores humanoides necesitan una pieza mecánica que está bajo el agua y envían a sus esclavos humanos a buscarla sin importar que se ahoguen, Thundarr los libera y se enfrenta contra estos seres con la ayuda de la Princesa Ariel y Olak un mutante de la raza Mok.
Mientras Olak es la fuerza brutal, Ariel usa sus poderes psíquicos para darle a Thundarr su espada de fuego, quien sabe usarla con gran habilidad. Thundarr está obsesionado en ayudar a todos los humanos oprimidos.
Los Groundlings consigue lo que buscan y se lo entregan a su líder, Lord Gemini quien con el Council of Wizards lograron armar una maquina del tiempo.
Este comic mezcla ciencia ficción, con fantasía en un ambiente distópico, que tome en serio la premisa original que Hanna Barbera plasmó en la serie animada original en la década de 1980.
Arte
Kewer captura esa mezcla de barbarie con ciencia ficción perfecta en cada uno de sus paneles y creando a la vez una atmósfera de misterio.

Plot
This comic begins with Thundarr being held hostage by a group of mutants who bought him as a slave in this dystopian future, where humans are nearly extinct and other beings seek to rule what remains of civilization.
The Groundlings, a humanoid rodent species, need a mechanical part located underwater and send their human slaves to retrieve it, regardless of the risk of drowning. Thundarr frees them and confronts these beings with the help of Princess Ariel and Olak, a mutant of the Mok race.
While Olak provides brute force, Ariel uses her psychic powers to give Thundarr his flaming sword, which he wields with great skill. Thundarr is obsessed with helping all oppressed humans.
The Groundlings obtain what they seek and deliver it to their leader, Lord Gemini, who, along with the Council of Wizards, has managed to build a time machine.
This comic blends science fiction with fantasy in a dystopian setting, taking seriously the original premise established by Hanna-Barbera in the original animated series of the 1980s.
Art
Kewer perfectly captures this blend of barbarism and science fiction in every panel, creating an atmosphere of mystery.
Summary
Thundarr nearly prevents the Council of Wizards from wielding immense power in this dystopian future filled with mystery, magic, and science fiction.
