Then, a stop in an Eternia where the power of Grayskull summons an entirely different warrior in a horrific ghost story illustrated by Kelley Jones! Written by MotU alumni Tim Seeley (Injustice vs. Masters of the Universe, Masters of the Multiverse) with a framing story by Eddie Nuñez, this is an anthology series not to be missed!    Masters of the Universe: Masterverse #1 (of 4) will be available starting February 15, 2023 and is now available for pre-order at your local comic shop.   Be sure to follow Dark Horse Comics on social media for more news, announcements, and updates!

Praise for He-Man & Masters of the Multiverse by Tim Seeley:   “Whether you’re a fan of all things He-Man or only have love for the 80’s Filmation cartoon, the inside baseball nature of the story doesn’t flaunt its knowledge in the reader’s face to prove a point. It uses that information to craft an exciting story that all MOTU fans will thoroughly enjoy.” –Forces of Geek “Masters of the Multiverse #1 is a sharply written and skillfully drawn return to the world of He-Man, with plenty of new twists and old references.” –Monkeys Fighting Robots   “If you've never been a He-Man fan, this is the book for you. You can learn all about the different versions of the property and pick the one you like, and go from there. If you're a hardcore fan, it's an absolute thrill to see the different versions of Masters interacting with each other. Bottom line: This is a great comic.” –Comic Watch   “This is a fun, engaging adventure that doesn’t get bogged down in treating the iterations of He-Man with kid gloves.” –Super Powered Fancast Fuentes/Sources Dark Horse Comics @Dave_DSG

New comics, developed and written by the creative team behind

Mattel Television and Netflix’s upcoming series “Masters of the Universe: Revelation,” to be released starting this July and will serve as a prequel to the new television series premiering this year

What does it come from?

Written by Kevin Smith!

This is the official comic book prequel to the upcoming Netflix television show written by Executive Producers Kevin Smith and Rob David and episode writer Tim Sheridan and featuring art by Mindy Lee (Crimson Lotus).

Following a vicious Orlax attack on his father King Randor, He-Man learns the creature is linked to the origin of the sword of power. To save Randor and put an end to the chaos, He-Man embarks on an epic journey that pits him against his longtime foes Skeletor and Evil-Lyn, and sees Teela take the reins of a powerful legacy.

* The official prequel to the upcoming Netflix show!

PLOT

He-man and Teela confront Skeletor and Evil Lyn, to use the communication device with the Orlax, and awaken the King from his catatonic state. Skeletor and Evil Lyn escape and destroy the device.

Skeletor reveals that the Orlax told him the location of the hidden secrets in Greyskull Castle and goes to search for them, leading an attack and thus begins the first season of the Netflix series.

Teela becomes enraged when arriving at the Castle of Greyskull and not being able to save the King, she is upset that Prince Adam is not there, begins to distrust everyone and accuses Sorceress that her magic is useless because she cannot save the king, when suddenly her body levitates and unleashes an energy wave that awakens and heals the King. Sorceress takes Teela and erase her mind of what just happened for her "own good", Orko disagrees with this.

This revelation of Teela will surely be part of what is going to happen in the second part of Season 1 of Masters of the Universe that premieres on November 23 on Netflix.

ART

It offers the perfect atmosphere of mystery and tension between the characters by working well the facial expressions and poses.
