In The Witcher Fading Memories # 3 Witcher goes to the castle where Woarthe is to investigate what happens to him and gets that this sorcerer has mental problems and does not know what he is doing.
Plot
The Mayor explains to Geralt that the Mage, Woarthe suffers from senile dementia but that with its powers it helps much more than the damage it can cause, Witcher confronts him and tells him that the Foglets that I believe murdered a child, this makes the Mage lose control and start to rain blood, his mental imbalance is such that his powers manifest uncontrollably.
After calming Woarthe, Geralt tells the Mayor that he is going to tell the whole truth to the child's mother, the Mayor warns him that people prefer to live a fantasy than reality, to Geralt's surprise the mother had again to his son in his arms, the Mage created an even more powerful fantasy to fix everything.
The end leaves you with a feeling that you do not know what is real and what is not, what a great closure.
