Este cómic es el sexto proyecto de Millarworld/Netflix luego de la compra de la editorial Millarworld por el gigante del streaming Netflix. Será una serie multilingüe (español / inglés), de la mano de Everardo Gout (Marvel's Luke Cage, Sacred Lies, Mars, Banshee, Aqui En La Tierra) y Leopoldo Gout (Molly's Game, Instinct) quienes actuarán como co-directores y productores ejecutivos en la serie. Everardo Gout también dirigirá la serie.
¿De qué viene?
En American Jesús #1 en Harlem, EE.UU Luciana y Eddie descubren que son la nueva versión de María y José, están por traer al mundo a Jesús, esto curre en el año 1974.
Ambos escapan hacia Waco Texas, ya que los seguidores del anticristo los persiguen y acaban de asesinar a todos sus familiares. El plan del anticristo es controlar la población mundial a través del miedo, el ataque a las Torres Gemelas es la fecha de inicio de este plan.
¿Qué sucede?
Esta entrega nos traslada 18 años hacia el futuro en 1992, ya nació el nuevo mesías en una comunidad aislada de fervientes seguidores liderados por Ezequiel, en Texas.
Este mesías es algo diferente a lo que se imaginan, un buen giro en la trama en esta "secuela de la Biblia" como diría Mark Millar.
Luciana y Eddie son padres adultos que deben lidiar con un adolescente que está a punto de cumplir 18 años, que aún no de le han manifestado sus habilidades y que no cree en todo este fanatismo de que es el nuevo mesías.
Está comunidad donde viven posee una fachada ecologista por lo que cualquier aparato tecnológico está prohibido ya que puede ser fácilmente, pero las trece familias satanistas están detrás de ellos, poco falta para que los ubiquen, porque lamentablemente Satanás está un paso adelante y tiene muchos recursos para lograrlo.
Arte y trama.
El arte de Gross sigue captando ese tono de misterio totalmente adecuado para la historia, por otro lado Millar nos traslada con éxito sea a 1974 o 1992, sin usar secuencias de acción o violencia capta la atención del lector, solo con suspenso y diálogos brillantes.

Resumen
El nuevo Mesías no cree que es la enviada de Dios, ahora con la mayoría de edad pondrá en riesgo todo por una vida normal. Seguimos enganchados con esta historia que con lógica, realismo y suspenso nos narra el regreso del hijo de Dios.

This comic is the sixth Millarworld / Netflix project after the purchase of the Millarworld publishing house by the streaming giant Netflix. It will be a multilingual series (Spanish / English), by Everardo Gout (Marvel's Luke Cage, Sacred Lies, Mars, Banshee, Here On Earth) and Leopoldo Gout (Molly's Game, Instinct) who will act as co-directors and producers executives in the series. Everardo Gout will also direct the series.
Where does it comes from?
In American Jesus # 1 in Harlem, USA, Luciana and Eddie
discover that they are the new version of Mary and Joseph, they are about to bring
Jesus to the world, this took place in 1974.
Both escape to Waco Texas, as the followers of the
antichrist persecute them and have just killed all their relatives. The
antichrist's plan is to control the world population through fear, the attack
on the Twin Towers is the start date of this plan.
What's going on?
This issue takes us 18 years into the future in 1992, the
new messiah was born in an isolated community of fervent followers led by
Ezekiel, in Texas.
This messiah is something different from what you imagine, a
good twist in the plot in this "sequel to the Bible" as Mark Millar
would say.
Luciana and Eddie are adult parents who must deal with a
teenager who is about to turn 18, who have not yet expressed their abilities
and who does not believe in all this fanaticism that is the new messiah.
This community where they live has an ecological facade so
that any technological device is prohibited since it can be easily tracked, but the
thirteen Satanist families are behind them, because unfortunately Satan is a step forward and has many resources to
make it.
Art and plot
Peter Gross's art continues to capture that tone of mystery totally appropriate for the story, on the other hand Mark Millar successfully moves
us either to 1974 or 1992, without using sequences of action or violence
captures the reader's attention, only with suspense and brilliant dialogues.
Summary
The new Messiah does not believe that it is the one sent
from God, now with the majority age she will put everything at risk for a
normal life. We remain hooked with this story that with logic, realism and
suspense tells us the return of the son of God.
