5 CLAVES PARA ENTENDER EL PRESENTE DE THOR EN THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO

El 6 de julio estrena solo en cines THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO, la película de Marvel Studios que promete sorprender a los fans con una nueva historia centrada en el asgardiano favorito de todos. 

En el film, el Dios del Trueno (Chris Hemsworth) se encuentra en un viaje diferente a todo lo que ha enfrentado en el pasado: una búsqueda de paz interior. Su retiro, sin embargo, se ve interrumpido por un asesino de la galaxia conocido como Gorr, el Carnicero de Dioses (Christian Bale), cuya misión es la extinción de los dioses. Con la ayuda del Rey Valquiria (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) y su ex novia Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Thor emprende una aventura cósmica para detener al inesperado villano.

UN HITO DENTRO DEL MCU

 

El estreno de THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO marca un hito en la historia del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel (MCU por sus siglas en inglés). Con el film, Thor se convierte en el primer personaje en liderar cuatro películas de franquicia, luego de THOR, THOR: UN MUNDO OSCURO y THOR: RAGNAROK. Para los fans alrededor del mundo, Chris Hemsworth es Thor, y el actor aún siente el compromiso de explorar y evolucionar en su rol. “Sentí enorme presión. Por ahora, Thor es el único personaje en liderar una cuarta película, y quería hacer algo diferente. Siempre quiero dar lo mejor para el personaje”, confiesa Hemsworth.

 

 

 

GRIETAS EN LA ARMADURA

 

Desde su introducción en el MCU en 2011, el equipo creativo de Marvel ha tenido oportunidad de mostrar al personaje de Thor en múltiples facetas. Fue una vez un príncipe arrogante e impulsivo desterrado de Asgard por su padre Odín, y desde entonces ha experimentado crecimiento y pérdida. En AVENGERS: ENDGAME, la última aparición de Thor hasta ahora, las audiencias empezaron a ver algunas grietas en la poderosa armadura del Dios del Trueno. “En AVENGERS: ENDGAME vemos una versión bastante confusa y perdida de Thor. Ciertamente está mejor al final de la película que al principio, pero todavía no sabe realmente quién es o cuál es su lugar en el universo. Y decide que necesita buscar y tomarse un tiempo para sí mismo”, explica Hemsworth. Ese es, entonces, el punto de partida de THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO.

 

 

 

AMOR, AMOR, AMOR

 

Los realizadores coinciden en que el nuevo film es, en esencia, una historia de amor. “La mayoría de las personas que intentan encontrarse a sí mismas están huyendo de algo. De lo que huye Thor es del amor porque, según su experiencia, todos los que ama, mueren. Ya sea que pueda articularlo o no, él cree que está maldecido”, comenta el productor Brad Winderbaum, y agrega: “Thor es un personaje muy existencial, y una de las cosas que el público verá en THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO es que no es solo un héroe divertido, que sale de las situaciones usando su ingenio y carisma, sino un tipo que siente muy profundamente”.

 

En la historia, Thor se reencuentra con Jane, un acontecimiento que trae nuevas revelaciones acerca de la naturaleza de la relación que compartieron y de su eventual ruptura.

 

 

 

 

UN VILLANO NUNCA ANTES VISTO

 

THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO también encuentra a Thor ante un nuevo desafío que lo toma completamente por sorpresa. En la película, el protagonista se enfrenta al enemigo más temible que jamás ha conocido. A lo largo de su historia dentro del MCU, se ha visto cara a cara con múltiples rivales —desde Laufey, el rey de los gigantes de hielo, hasta su propia hermana Hela y Thanos—, pero en esta oportunidad, los realizadores han redoblado la apuesta. “Necesitábamos dar un paso más desde Hela y encontrar un villano que fuera incluso más imponente, y lo encontramos en Gorr, interpretado por el notable Christian Bale", señala el director Taika Waititi.

 

LA AVENTURA DE SU VIDA

 

Sin duda, THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO coloca al Dios del Trueno al centro de una de las aventuras más extraordinarias de su vida. Si THOR: RAGNAROK lo embarcó en un viaje cósmico que de alguna manera reinventó el personaje y permitió a los fans conectar con él de una nueva manera, la nueva historia lo lleva a mundos aún más sorprendentes. Dice Waititi: “THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO se parece a THOR: RAGNAROK en términos de tono y estilo, pero queríamos duplicar lo vibrantes y locos que son los mundos y las situaciones en las que ponemos a Thor. Cuando estás lidiando con un vikingo en el espacio exterior, si corres y aceptas esa combinación increíble como la que impulsa la historia, solo estás realmente limitado por tu imaginación”.

 

THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO estrena el 7 de julio sólo en cines.

SINOPSIS OFICIAL

En la película tendremos a Thor (Chris Hemsworth) en un viaje diferente a todo lo que ha enfrentado: la búsqueda de paz interior. Pero su retiro es interrumpido por un asesino de la galaxia conocido como Gorr, el Carnicero de Dioses (Christian Bale), que busca la extinción de los dioses. Para combatir la amenaza, Thor solicita la ayuda del rey Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) y su ex novia Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), quien, para sorpresa de Thor, empuña inexplicablemente su martillo mágico, Mjolnir, como el Poderoso Thor. Juntos, se embarcan en una terrorífica aventura cósmica para descubrir el misterio de la venganza del Carnicero de Dioses y detenerlo antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

Dirigida por Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, Jojo Rabbit) y producida por Kevin Feige y Brad Winderbaum, THOR: AMOR Y TRUENO estrenará en cines de Venezuela en julio 2022.
